Secretly I’ve had some misgivings about my position and these doubts have now given way to a change in position. So, this post is a capitulation to my critics and a public admission about how wrong I’ve been. Yes, Christians are bullied for their faith in America– and it happens on a daily basis. Yes, Christians can lose their jobs simply because they believe in the teachings of Jesus. Yes, some Christians in America are hated on account of their association with Jesus. Real persecution just happens to look differently than what is often claimed as persecution.

Hi guys, I went to Dads this morning and as I walked into the house it was dark and scary and creepy and I thought, Enough of this so I started praying out loud and ask the Lords blessing over the house and for all negativity to be gone in Jesus all powerful name. It was like a light switch flipped and the house was bright and I had tingles all over me.. Just then, Like 10 minutes later my buddy showed up cause we were going to bush hog and look in the barn today, He walked in and said hey it it much Brighter and feels totally different in here now, doesn't it? Lol
I just feel the Holy Spirit at work in my life right now and I know I am having ups and downs but I KNOW God is working and in control I am so very blessed in everything. :]

I see the back row christians that are true to church every Sunday and Wed but never seem to have any "trials" or problems of any kind.
Soooooo I am etheir doing something really good, Or something really bad because I have been hit hard the last two years.. lol
It seems if I look at it, It breaks, If I speak to it, It rebells, If I love it it leaves. Arrrggghhh

I believe this is spiritual warfare and if it is, Then why are "all" the others not getting this as well? I know those of us who are and many who never have been "hit"

This takes me back to my post about that place of perfection and I think we all pretty much agree that our righteousness comes from and through Jesus Christ and nothing of us..
So now is there a place that James 4:7 really ever happens?
There has to be or else it wouldn't be in the bible, So WHY can't I seem to get there??? lol[

Not everything is the devil or spiritual warfare... people do things, make choices... some people ain't going to stay forever in one's life...people move on.
Relationships change and or end completely for whatever reasons.
Things break down and or fall apart..things don't last like they use to... anybody who owns an Apple product know that... specially the earbuds that cost so much... they just don't last...lol!

The guy who's in good humor, volunteers lots and has great stories to tell at church... his wife been gone for years and keeps putting off counseling and reconciliation.
The sweet and kind teenage girl who's always at church... she's in a very dysfunctional non-christian family and they live separate lives.
The smiling lady who teaches ladies and works in the library...she has been battling cancer for years and has a husband who has seizures, also has short term memory, he can't drive and can't be left alone.[/QUOTE]

Yes I understand that many are, However the ones I am speaking of are the ones who "are not" There are some who seem so happy and they are, but it is because they are inactive for God. They are comfortable and that is a dangerous place for a christian to be.
My question was basically why does it seem so hard for some of us who serve Him actively and not other people that I know truly are? Now I was upset when I wrote that post and yet, I am not sure I still understand the answer but I guess God is using us in so many different ways that He needs some to be very strong in certain areas? Like the old saying, "God gives His biggest battles to His greatest warriors"
Now please do not think that I am claiming to be a great warrior or anything such as that because I am not. But just trying to explain as I understand.

You get hit because you are a threat to Satan and ONLY by what God will allow because in His wisdom He knows it will make you stronger etc and even more good will come out of it.
I don't believe if you are following Jesus that you won't be a threat or persecuted in some way.
No one can rejoice in a normal way when these things happen. We are told to rejoice IN THE LORD ( knowing our place in Christ is assured and that we are pleasing Him, the peace that passes all understanding)
So take heart, if God be for us, who can be against us?

Yeal, it was kind of like that with Job. He wondered why he suffered so much, but really it seems he was never given the answer, at least not in full. We can pray to understand, and sometimes we will, be given the answers, but here is one of several Bible verses which hints at the why of it all, at least sometimes...

From Hebrew 11 "....and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection."

Though we can, of course, only be saved through the Blood of Messiah, the Bible makes it clear that our lives on earth determine how much reward we get in Heaven. "A better resurrection", according to many, indicates a better reward.

Those who suffer the most in this life, especially for His Name, if it is not the result of their own errors, will, obtain "a better resurrection", more joy, more reward in Heaven than those who have it easy. MHO.

I do not know if anyone else here has been noticing all the dreams and visions that people are having lately? I dreamed last night that I talked with Dad.
I received a call from a number with a bunch of 7s and I noticed that because there were so many of them. Anyway he called me and we was talking away and I was telling him about cleaning and bush hogging and all at the farm and it dawned on me what had occured.
I said Dad why did you do this? He started crying and said that was sorry and that he made a mistake and that it was supposed to have been cleaner than that, As he was talking he started fading away and I said I love you Dad and he said, I cant understand you? and I kept saying I love you but the line was blank.
I do not know if this was of God or not but I think I feel a little better.

Just because people look happy doesn't mean they are happy. It takes alot of work to keep up appearances. It's better to be honest and real with yourself than force yourself to be something you aren't.

When I was younger I engaged in alot of the type of religion you describe (I have not always been Lutheran), there was alot of psychological pressure, especially the idea we were supposed to witness to everybody. But I've come to a completely different religious perspective since then and realize it was the result of immaturity and bad theology.

I've had similar dreams. It's a normal part of grieving.

I've had similar dreams. It's a normal part of grieving.

Maybe? I know is mighty big and can do a lot so I will just say maybe and maybe not. But I feel better!

God is in control of ev'ry thing, Scotty. Even dreams. And He does minister to each of us differently, especially during grief. He HAS you AND the dreams, including ALL that might be coming at you.

Regarding the enemy and spiritual attacks, yes, the enemy is attempting to kick you when you're down. It's his specialty. Reminds me of how he attacked Job in every which way possible.

No, you're not doing anything wrong, Scotty.

I think we are all ministers and all called to show the love of Christ by example. I am a pastor and I have a pastors heart, That doesn't mean I am called to any higher level than the janitor, Just different positions within the body. Yet we all have a position.

Yes Sir, Life is brief and what I mean is, you ain't taking nothing with you when you die, So if the rewards are in heaven and they are eternal, that is the important thing to focus on, Building wealth in the coming kingdom. Rev 3:16 So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
To me the grief is persecution. I am "oppressed" at times because I am advancing into satan's territory and disrupting his plans.
Eph 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms
