Anyone spiritually attacked?

I was just thinking about in reference to your ministry in the prison. My ex-husband is a prison guard. It greatly effected him and our marriage. In prisons there is a concentration of brokenness and evil. It is possible that when you leave you may be bringing a demonic presence out with you with intent to oppress and hinder you. The enemy will do a lot to shut us down when we are trying to serve the Lord, especially if they feel their territory is encroached upon.

Forgive me if this has already been mentioned. I don't read every single response carefully, especially if it has multiple pages of replies.

That is why I mention EPH 6 alot as I am all about that armor and lately I feel as though I got a crack in it or something and the enemy got an arrow in.

This is all going to pass in time, just stay firm in the Lord regardless of what is going through your head right now. Praise Him ! Nothing has taken place that the Lord has not been in to one degree or another, He knows all things before they happen. He is our all powerful and all knowing God and He is in charge not us. So stay firm in Him and trust. Scotty when someone close passes we are weak and the enemy knows this, in those times we need to draw all the nearer to Jesus Christ, in Him is our strength in all ways.

And just for what it's worth, I think you have done amazingly well given the circumstances. After what has taken place you probably do have a few stress cracks but they will seal up. Been there done that Scotty !

I am preaching today and I am studied up and feeling good. I am ready to love on my congregation and fill the love of the Holy Spirit working agonist us :]
I think I will preach on the four horseman and I say "think" because I have gotten behind the pulpit and have God change everything at the last minute and I preach something totally different, lol Especially at the nursing home as these little old people can change things quick as half of them cut you off while you are preaching and start telling a story haha

Sometimes we need to wonder about our sanity in getting involved in this stuff Scotty ! You will always be under attack when witnessing, then once they convert it ends till the next one. And incidentally the ones you are witnessing to are probably having an attack of some sort as well. But meanwhile one more the enemy doesn't get when they come to Christ, assuming they do.

Hmmm, it was so simple when I just believed "in" Jesus Christ. It got more complicated in the spiritual realm when I invited Him into my life. But without this we are not born again and not being born again is a no go for heaven according to Jesus Christ Himself. See the difference there ? Those folks you mentioned who reside against the back wall who never seem to have trouble, they probably only believe in Jesus Christ, it hasn't become personal. But the devil himself believes "in" Jesus Christ and in no way is saved. Jesus said that in this world we will have tribulation, that is an imperative or an absolute if you will. It will occur, period. I have to say that He wasn't lying.

Life can get crazy at times. Not every problem is spiritual though. There are so many variables to many situations we find ourselves in. We certainly aren't in control and sometimes I feel like I'm in a canoe without a proverbial paddle. I've learned the hard way not to handle everything myself ( which I'm used to doing ) and take it to the Lord.

Spiritual Warfare Is Real, Difficult, and Dangerous

The shield of faith was made with leather covering which was soaked with water. So the underlying wood shield protected from the penetration of the darts themselves, the wet leather helped to extinguish the flaming darts to keep them from burning up the shield. BUT we must lift it up! A battalion of soldiers would march forward in a square or rectangle... the front, side, and rear soldiers with their shields outward, the inner soldiers with their shields help up, flat over their heads. The entire group was protected. May we find enough Christians to band together for protection!

I see the back row christians that are true to church every Sunday and Wed but never seem to have any "trials" or problems of any kind.

You don't feel the weight of the current you're in until you start moving against it. Drifting morally and spiritually is easy and commonplace. But it always eventually ends in the disaster and death God has promised it will. (Ro. 6:23) It is those who refuse to drift who find themselves struggling mightily to withstand the force of the currents they were drifting in. This struggle God uses to press us to Him in humble surrender and dependence. And when we rest on Him, lo and behold, we find we can stand the force of any current!

Soooooo I am etheir doing something really good, Or something really bad because I have been hit hard the last two years.. lol
It seems if I look at it, It breaks, If I speak to it, It rebells, If I love it it leaves. Arrrggghhh

God never lets the devil take a run at us unless He intends to use what He allows the devil to do to clarify where we truly are with Him, reveal our weaknesses and strengths to us, and teach us to depend in humble surrender upon Him moment by moment. In whatever we experience - good or bad - God always intends to make us more like Christ - if we'll let Him. (Ro. 8:29)

I believe this is spiritual warfare and if it is, Then why are "all" the others not getting this as well? I know those of us who are and many who never have been "hit"

The devil doesn't attack those who are already under his power. It's those who aren't at whom he levels his arrows of temptation and deception.

So now is there a place that James 4:7 really ever happens?

Good grief! Yes! Nearly every day! But resistance must always be preceded by submission. We can only effectively resist the devil when we have first submitted ourselves unto God.

There has to be or else it wouldn't be in the bible, So WHY can't I seem to get there??? lol

Well I have come to the knowledge that like you say, It is an everyday battle, There isn't a "place' where we can get that is completely void of satans attacks and as we advance into his territory we should expect it.

I have a dream
Well I had one about 20 years or so ago

I was in the desert.
Within it was a sort of training camp. It had a weapons rack made of wood and within the rack was an assortment of weapons such as shield, sword, helmet, etc.

In the arena area ( flat sand ) was a huge wheel with a handle to turn a chain. On the end of the chain was a huge Dragon. The Dragon had the full freedom of movement in the arena unless the chain was winched in by using the handle.

It was my job to fight the Dragon and being honest I was up for it. I ran to the weapons rack and picked up a large shield and then moved towards the Dragon. The Dragon give me a pummeling to be honest. I spent most of the time under the shield with this huge beastie knocking dents in the top of my shield. Then someone shouted STOP THE FIGHT or something similar. The Dragon was winched back by the chain. I knew at this moment to swap my weapons. I put the shield back and went for the sword.

The Dragon was let loose again and battle commenced. I took another pummeling and only had a sword as an attack weapon. I think I spent most of this time moving just to avoid my arms being bitten off. After quite some time I heard the Wooah STOP command. The Dragon was winched back again.

I ran to the weapons rack and put the sword down and picked up the shield again. Battle commenced and I got another pummeling. This process of choosing the wrong weapon and getting battered continued for some time.

Then I woke up

A question popped into my mind when I awoke. "What did you do wrong? "
I answered "Lay off the strong cheese at night"

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

I do believe in dreams, and that God uses certain "ways" of communicating with certain people. But in my case, It may just be spicy foods or lack of much needed medication Idk?? but one thing is certain, That Amour is a must, to do battle at any level :]

Totally agree with using the Armour Southernscotty

We can read about it and talk about it but if we are to have the victory then we really need to be doers of the word.

As long as we are walking along beside the old devil, there will be no problems. It is only when you spin around and start the other way that you will meet him head on.
