All,

has anyone else noticed that their scales weigh differently when placed on different florr surfaces ?

In a certain area of my tiny bathroom i weigh 5lbs less than in another area of the bathroom, the floor must be a little uneven. I'm going to weigh myself in that same spot ALWAYS!

Well, after my run today, I weighed and measured--I'm down a pound from last week and haven't changed much in the measurements department. I'm not expecting any major changes, and any that I've noticed are all within average body fluctuations.

Ugg. I did my last run for week 3, but I think I'm going to have to do one more day in this stage. I waited 4 days between running, and today was tough. I like to have the last day of the week feel easy before I increase my running to the next week's schedule. I have a slight headache, but luckily my running made it much better. And I learned to not go so long between excercising!

Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday. Today we're going to have a yummy, all-veggie lunch with cornbread. And yesterday I bought a cast iron griddle/grill and we grilled chicken and veggies for dinner last night. Yum!

(Oh, and I bought strawberries yesterday. $3 for a pound of organic ones. They were too pretty to pass up and a definite treat!)

Jenndiggy, get right back here now! - only joking , friend! My scales tell me i've either stayed the same weight, or i have lost 2 pounds - depends where in the bathroom i weigh myself. I prefer to think that i have lost weight, but i know that i probably haven't - despite having a really active week.

Wilderness, glad you got your strawberries! - we're having a lovely at home Sunday - usually we go out somewhere or visit family, but the children have been playing in the paddling pool and running around the garden - I have been inside ( it's safer when the kids have access to water!)

Ahh Morning Folks

My hubby went back to sea today, so the start has been gloomy - and Im starving! I had toast and a slice of cranberry bread w/my coffee. Last night we made an oriental meal w/my garden snap peas. It was great and I have leftovers for today. I could even eat that right now, at 9am!

My exercise seems hit and miss. With kids in tow and no one else to watch over them while I do my thing, I have to drag them along. Ive found a field they can play in which I run around, but it takes planning - tugging along play things for them and getting other kids to go for team games. Struggles, is what it amounts to right now. My kid free time is best, when the kids are in school. I may have to wait until then for some good heartfelt strives in exercise.

I have thoughts toward canning and I am looking forward to getting that going. I hope I can get all the materials together for the process. I have found a sugar free pectin to use for the jams. I have never tried that stuff and I am hopeful it will work out. I so dislike going through all that canning work only to have jam that wont set.

Well, I need to improve my spirits.

Can I take anyone's prayer requests on this health issue? If so, let me know and I will be happy to include you!

OK, I'm back from my week at the beach. On the down side, my diet was totally indulgent in fatty foods most days and I went out for ice cream twice. I haven't dared to weigh in since I got back yet.

On the plus side, the weather was great and I managed to go running 3 times last week for about 5 miles each time.

Oh well, I'm back home now. Time to get serious about my food again. Wish me luck.

Its not luck, but will, and thats in the Lords Hands!

Im not going anywhere with the weight issue this week. I have my monthly visitor and well, the best I can do is work with my attitude and make the best choice of WHAT to eat.

Anyway, I wonder if when I get to heaven I will be able to talk to the Lord about this monthly business. I just dont understand why I have to go through this!!!

Ive got yard work to do again this week and I think I will do it today. Exercise seems to make my current situation pass quickly and works with the uncomfortable feelings that come with it.

Yesterday I ate a handful of my home grown snap peas. How wonderful a treat that was. Im the only one in the house who likes them - so double the blessing, Ill be the only one eating them, no need to share!

I hope you guys have taken the chance to lay your eating and weight concerns on the Lord. With His help and your continued faith, things can be accomplished according to the most important part, His will in His timing. Thats always so hard to remember.

mistertee49- be careful with losing weight at that rate, it is unhealthy and generally harder to keep off if you lose it quickly. however, i am sure you know your situation and whatnot. just make sure to discuss the matter with your doctor if you continue losing a significant amount each week. ideally one's goal should be around a pound a week. that way it is safe and easier to keep off.

Hi guys! I know I posted in the first few replys of this thread (14 pages ago;)!) But I'm back! I was sidetracked by ... Life! Imagine that ;)

As of right now I am 5'4" and fairly overweight. I am not too active; or very healthy in the eating department! But I do hope to start getting good :)

I hope to be MUCH more involved here in this thread in the near future!
