I'm 21 and have never held hands with a guy, not even kissed or had a boyfriend. I'm feeling like I'm the only person my age that hasn't done any of the above and I'm just wondering, is there anyone else out there who hasn't had a boyfriend ever?

Hope the title of this doesn't sound too pretentious by the way. I just didn't know how else to title this, lol.

My first boyfriend/kiss/hand hold was at 19/20. Pretty much the same.

Now I'm an old lady and ive only had two boyfriends and I won't have anymore.

I never kissed a guy until the day I was married.
We didn't even hold hands.
We knew we loved each other, and even though it was difficult, we stuck with the standard we had set.
We wanted no regrets, no residual guilt to tarnish the relationship afterwards.

I have no regrets.

And I have no memories of kissing men who ended up marrying my friends.
(Though I was in love with a couple of them before I met my future husband.)
I don't have to try to forget the kisses that never happened.
And now that my husband is gone, I don't have to struggle with torturous memories that could morph into adulterous dreams... you know what I mean. You reap what you sow. Sow to the flesh...

I haven't done any of that stuff. Older than 21. I'm not too happy about that, but I don't regret that I've avoided the shadier ways to tick those boxes, so to speak.
I understand the struggle. But you're right. At least we don't have shady ways of ticking those boxes. :)

I'm afraid I'm just not as innocent as you.

I strongly disagree with how so-called "innocence" is being used here. No one is innocent. Innocence is not attained through some method of holding back or doing good deeds. Are you as innocent as God Christ Jesus himself?

I am perfectly innocent in God Jesus. He took the hell my sins deserved, that I deserved, and in place I am seen as perfect to God and others in Christ. That is the only real innocence.

I think the most innocent is the one who admits their sin. Not one who brags about their lack thereof.
The dictionary definition of innocence is not having sinned in the first place.
And simply sharing one's experience is only perceived as bragging by those who didn't have the same experience... who know their own experience wasn't as valuable.
I brag only on God, who gave me strength and wisdom to behave... in this area.
I haven't always made such good decisions in other areas.

So, you feel the OP is using that particular definition in both the thread title and the question.

You’re fine, Searching. Some people don’t believe in any kind of touching, except perhaps holding hands, until engagement or marriage. And I think they’re right.

I couldn’t be in a relationship that involves no touching. Might as well just be a friendship if there’s no expression of affection.

I want to cuddle, kiss.

So do I. But only after I’ve committed myself for life and put that ring on her finger.

As far as I'm concerned, it isn't a romantic relationship unless one actually does those things. Regardless of label, it's really just a good friendship if the partners don't act romantically affectionate to each other in demonstration of it being more than that.
