Don't feel old, feel wise!! My dad is about to turn 50, and I just turned 23 last month. All I need to do is get a new needle for the record player, but I have to drive 3 hours to get to the closest record store! And you're right! 80's music = classic.
Hmm, I don't think I've heard that song but I will def give it a listen. Do you like The Who?

Yeah, I like some of the Who...Blue Eyes comes to mind...

Ever heard 'Turning Japanese'? Love that song...

So, your Dad is turning 50? Wow, it comes so fast...I've got 6 yrs before I'm next...yikes...

I forgot about the needles...I wonder about Amazon?

Records were kind of like the first CD's lol...you could pick which song you wanted really quick by placing the arm to the desired song...

My VERY first record was a .45...it was 'Puff the Magic Dragon'...I must have been around 5? That would have been 1974...I blasted it, I was 'cool'

I like their song "I'm one".

I've found that the older you get, the faster time goes. I know everyone says it, but it's so true. I have to remind myself to stop and smell the daffodils.

My first wasn't a cd, it was a cassette tape and it was The Eagles greatest hits! I was 6 I believe. We were def some cool kids, I must say!

Ah, Flock of Seagulls...loved the hair...

Oh yeah, time goes quicker when you're older...the 20's and 30's flew by...

The 80's also had some of the best sitcoms too...one of my favs was Night Court...love that show...now you can buy alot of those at WalMart...whole seasons for like $9.96...

I remember liking the variety of music that wasn't utterly bland middle-of-the-road rubbish. I liked everything from the electronica (Bomb The Bass, Deep Heat compilations etc) to some of the early hip-hop to the thrash and death metal scene. I particularly liked it when Anthrax and Public Enemy teamed up to bring us Turn It Up, Bring The Noise.

I know, I'm a bit of an oddball. Actually, scratch the "a bit of"...

Blondie was cool...the first .45 I got of hers, of course, was 'Call Me'...still my fav of hers...Underground Railroad did a remake of it, not half bad...

Remember, we also got Metallica from the 80's...soon, they'll be in their 80's

I liked so many groups then...and so many one hit wonders...like The Tubes...
I think I only knew 'Our House' by Madness...interesting that the lead singer of Madness has a sister we know as Gwen Stefani...neat...
