I am not a new member but this forum is the only one I could think of to post this.

I have been feeling bad for the past month so I went to the doctor who ordered multiple tests. (I have lost 30 pounds in the past month without dieting.)

On Friday I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer. When discovered it had already spread to my lymphatic system.

The prognoses is not good. Depending on the course of treatment we agree on and how well I respond to that course of treatment it looks like anywhere from 3 months to 8 months.

My family has been notified, as has my church leadership who also announced it from the pulpit this morning.

Now it is time to let my Christian Forum family know. We covet your prayers and good thoughts.

I will keep this updated as long as I am able.

I had surgery for cancer almost a year ago. They can do wonders these days.

Prayers offered for you and family.

If you have not sought out a cancer center like MD Anderson recommmed you do. Given your prognosis your insurance will not balk at a second opinion and treatments at another faculty.

I cry whenever I hear that anyone has cancer. For Christians who have it, I know they will probably be with the Lord before I will --- hallelujah!

My sister died of cancer at age forty-five, my other sister was in her early fifties, my husband was only sixty-four. My husband's cancer was in his gall bladder and liver.

You and your family are going to be in my prayers. Brother Cassidy, may God comfort you and your family.
