  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I realize how serious this news is, how devastating it may sound. I do not take it lightly, and there is much to be concerned with, much thought to be given to near future decisions and actions to be taken, and this is all and well, and should be addressed rightly; but I am reminded of a short story that is told. A Christian man is confronted by a gunman that says "Your money or your life!" The Christian then replied "You're threatening me with Heaven?" For the Christian, death should not be so dreadful as for the unbeliever. Of course, it should be dealt with all the seriousness that its approach and the need to try to "set things in order" before one must go through it, but in all this
their should be times of peace, when the security God provides should be meditated upon and appreciated. Father, I pray for TCassidy and his family, in all this that they are going through and will go through, that they will strongly know and experience a sense of Your presence and person and all that You are and can provide for them, and in this they can keep their heads high, still rejoicing in You (Philippians 4:4; 1 Thessalonians 5:16) and testifying to Your goodness and greatness. Amen.

The thought that distressed me most when I was diagnosed with cancer was - that I would miss my family and those I worried about their salvation, I would no longer be around to have any influence. But then I heard something that changed my thinking. We will still love our families when we are with Christ. We won't suffer any sense of loss. But we will have more direct communion with Christ, and the Saints in heaven are praying. When we are with Christ, we can pray much more directly and with more wisdom for the salvation or other good of our loved ones. I suspect my great-grandmother put in a lot of requests for her family after her death - I think her prayers in life brought much of her large family to Christ, and after her death the others continue to come to faith. It was a comforting thought to me.

I am not a new member but this forum is the only one I could think of to post this.

I have been feeling bad for the past month so I went to the doctor who ordered multiple tests. (I have lost 30 pounds in the past month without dieting.)

On Friday I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer. When discovered it had already spread to my lymphatic system.

The prognoses is not good. Depending on the course of treatment we agree on and how well I respond to that course of treatment it looks like anywhere from 3 months to 8 months.

My family has been notified, as has my church leadership who also announced it from the pulpit this morning.

Now it is time to let my Christian Forum family know. We covet your prayers and good thoughts.

I will keep this updated as long as I am able.

Thank you and God bless.

TCassidy stay strong and be of much courage my friend. God is with you and he loves you. I pray that you are filled with faith and that this cancer goes into complete remission. I have heard many miraculous healing testimonies and there is no reason that you cannot be one of them. I am praying fervently to the Lord that you and all those around you are given the faith needed for this healing. God determines the lot and your time. May the Lord provide a complete healing for you. I believe.
