This is ok everyone this was during the 777 reforms and no Lisa I was indeed at the time a Mod I had just changed positions.

Also Wiki SAs did mod threads because we were in charge of all the moderation for all the Wiki threads and any confrontation that happened in them but that could openly be seen in the open reports at the time and we often ruled on reports and we often shut down threads. Since this was not confidential info then I am disclosing it. But it is true that talking about staff actions is a rules violation and should be avoided Lisa.

Now at one time we used to be friends lets not stop that over a simple misunderstanding. I would hate for that to happen. Not to mention it is not very Christian for us to argue so disagreeably with one another.

CaDan... knock it off. Your request is not necessary. Staff is not and should not be obligated to answer your question or request. Please do not indirectly insult their honor if they refuse to do so.

If you staff are that determined there will be no forcible icon yanking, cadans pledge shouldnt be an issue.

When I see CF heading back to the bad days, and knowing the what goes on behind the scenes I am deeply cynical

Sorry, D'Ann. I just feel very strongly about the fact that some folks are not welcome here. I also predicted that as soon as that was accomplished, then, it would begin again on who was and who was not a True Christian.

I understand why some may feel this way. But all are welcomed here. None of us want to reject anyone and all are wanted here. There is enough room for all of us.

This isn't about segregation, it's about protecting the sheep. We are told by Jesus to protect the sheep. Allowing non-Christians to debate in Christian forums is hurting the sheep. Not all people are good at debate or defending their faith. We need to protect them and that is what this is about. That is the bottom line.

I'm sorry for those who are hurt, that was not what anyone wanted.

This is not about excluding, it's about protecting the sheep who need protection. I pray that you can please try and understand this.

No I pledge myself to God first then to my husband and family second but I also pledge my devotion to this board CaDan and you know why. If it should come down to the fact that LeeD says in the future that he wants it where we would have to pull icons I pledge myself to upholding the rules of this board and it's protocols .... And if anyone has a problem with that then I am sorry. I may not agree with it and may not want it but I do not look at things the way you do. I look at the bigger picture and who I am serving.

As far as me and CaDan what we call each other is worse in IM and we laugh at each other in the process of doing it. I stated the truth and he darn well knows it LOL

And that is the alarmist speaking. No one has said that non C's are not welcomed in CF. The new policy restricts posting by non C's in about only 40 to 50 forums of a total of around 250 forums in CF. Wow, that is really kicking them out.

The fact is that there are many forums that have been out of bounds to non C's for a long time. For example, all of Christian communities, all of faith groups (except for wwmc), edification, and most of ministry. So really all that we have added is Christian Theology.

I just really don't understand what all of the panic is about. Letalis made it plain that force icon changes are NOT going to happen. Most of us on staff right now would NEVER vote for such a policy and MOST of us would leave if that policy was adopted.

There. That is the truth. Are we done with all the bickering?

I didn't say it was okay for anyone to call anyone names or to be hurtful or insulting. (I don't know what an upstart is, can you help me out here with learning what that means).

It's not an issue. Staff can comply or not. The issue is the indirect implication that those of staff who do not comply are somehow villians and dishonorable. That is a type of black mail. Either pledge or you are a villain and dishonorable... sorry, but that is NOT a good approach in order to make a point.

Furthermore, there has to be some kind of trust here. Please give us a chance and if we mess up, then call us on it and tell us how horrible we are or that we are villians or that we are dishonorable.

What difference does it make whether a staff member makes the pledge or not... if we all are villians and dishonorable? The difference is, that we don't need to make a pledge because we already know that we are honorable and that none of us supports yanking icons or even changing icons. I don't have to make that pledge (although, I did along with meh)... in order to be honorable and decent and be true without compromise to my stand and word here. I'm not a villian, nor is staff.

I'm sorry that you are deeply cynical based on past accounts. We are trying to make positive changes here and no one wants to hurt anyone. I'm sorry for the hurt and anger that you might be feeling sis in Christ.

It is NOT an alarmist speaking. What has happened in GA speaks for itself. The statistics of this site would speak volumes as well except no one is allowed to see them anymore.

Whose decision was this anyway? Making the theology forums Christian only is the epitome of stupidity. Way to alienate seekers. I thought the goal was to spread the message of Jesus - not form some elitist cult.

Apparently it was Leed's but agreed to by the advisors. The theology of this decision is specious, it is an affront to Jesus who fellowshipped with all people.

Lisa, Please accept the fact that the stats do not show because of a tech issue. That is a fact. There is no hidden, sooper sekrit reason. You can either believe me here or not. Your choice.

The membership of this site has been reducing since the 777 changes. You know that. You were a mod back then and should remember the upheaval that it created. That IS why the membership has been dwindling.

Answer me this, how many people would you have recommended this site to even before this announcement? How many Christian friends would you have invited here?
