Can see there are women's soccer matches on TV now. I wouldn't want to play it myself, but I wish I'd played more netball and tennis when I was younger.

We had a good day today. My daughters and I went on a day trip and it was lovely having the girls' company.

But Y? I was moved to share this with you, but I can't think why:

On Monday evening I was struck down by norovirus. Tuesday was a day of recovery. I'm supposed to be having my annual camping fishing week starting tomorrow, but right now I feel like I've had a good kicking at the feet of a few soccer players, and Mrs F's recovery is half a day behind mine.

Why, do you think, would I be moved to share this?

Rita is back visiting here. Enjoying the ROSE photos that Dave shared. R there any other documentaries, joyshirley that you enjoy watching? I enjoy different kinds of documentaries, especially about different destinations in the world and of castles. They are my favorite. Rock Bass and Bluegills I caught fishing for the first time I ever fished in my life.

For documentaries, I enjoy anything about animals and wildlife, in particular. The other day there was a cool one about the great white shark. My daughter and I marvelled at the shots of the shark leaping up after his prey and breaching. Fabulous stuff!

I also love programmes about different parts of the world, places I'd love to travel to, but probably never will get to visit. Today, Stephen Fry had a documentary about various places in the States, including New York State and Pennsylvania. Very interesting...

Great to hear that you also appreciate viewing documentaries. I also enjoy viewing animals and wildlife. What is great about them is that you are right, we can appreciate seeing parts of the world that normally in our lifetimes, would not happen.

Grateful to spend time yesterday at Ottawa Lake at the Kettle Moraine State Forest here in Wisconsin. I saw various wildlife, like from Hawks to Vultures to Seagulls and more.

with a group of similarly mature persons, some of which were encouraged to dance also

Just happy that the power and light is back on after losing electricity for the day! Jumped into the car and went to Applebee's and had a fish dinner to stay cool and fill up my tummy.

May this day and evening time bring lots of joy to us all. The weather is warm, yesterday I went cruisin' through Whitnall Park and saw several deer. Thank you joyshirley, I am prepared in case there is another power outage, lots of flashlights are easily accessible.

It was a coach trip, for those, mature in-society
to another town on the northwest coast, where we had a meal followed by dessert
We were entertained by a male-singer, with a more than adequate 'voice'
Two, games of Bingo, a hot drink and the ride-home
We set out about 10.30am and were back home just after 7pm

I watched Prunella Scales and Timothy West taking a barge on a canal on TV tonight. It reminded me how I used to love boating holidays - must do it again!

Quite enjoyable actually (thank you for asking)
It was, to have cost us £17 / US$ 25.oo (each) to join 'the trip'
But the Landlord funded our day out
All we had to pay-for, was tips for the Staff and the Coach Driver

It was very 'affordable'

Used-to dream (I did) of taking a barge along the canal ways of Merrie Olde Englande
Mary here, doesn't like water...
never learned to swim and has a dread of even being close to open water
She is happy to bathe in our bath, but that is as deep and wide as it gets (for her)
So, I guess, I will never get to do that .... oh well, but there are, a myriad of other things to-enjoy \o/
