This will be coarse fishing in England; i.e. in rivers and lakes for fish that are not game fish (trout,salmon etc). So I will be going for carp and tench mainly from the lakes. I expect to get a bream now and then, but there's no sport in bream - it's like pulling in a wet towel. Various methods to use; float, leger, mid-depth, surface bait, bottom bait.
And it's just for sport, so they all go back fit and healthy to fight another day. So we have to use barbless hooks and lead-free shot on the line.
Hi again. It was great to read that the fish go back afterwards, to fight another day. I'm not familiar with fishing methods at all, but had to laugh at the wet towel description.
