Why is that the Christian religon is the turth and there not even a little to be found in Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Taoism, Sikhism, Buddhism, Native American , New Age, Pagan, Baha’i Faith, Jainism, Shinto, Cao Dai, Zoroastrianism, Tenrikyo, Neo-Paganism, Juche, Chinese Folk, Wicca, Scinetology and other religons? How is this is the one turth out of all these religons, what make it so special?

Christianity is the only true religion because it comes from the only true God. There is such a thing as an absolute truth, and we, as Christians, believe Jesus Christ has made known that absolute truth.

However, we do not believe "there is not even a little truth to be found in [other religions]". That would be silly. Islam teaches there is one God, that's true! But Islam does not honor that one God, it mocks him and dishonors his Son, who is our only way to get right with God, so it is not a saving religion. There is truth in other religions, but not saving truth, and they do not honor God.

That what I am talking about! You dont know if it is from the ture God. Islam also clames to be from The Ture God and is the absolute truth. To muslims you guys are dishonring God by worshiping a man and that your belifes are a danger your self.

What makes Christianty the absolute truth? What if one the other guys I used as an example was the Truth? What proves that this is the only ture religon?

I don't claim to know the mind of God well enough to declare that Christianity is the exclusive way to know God. On the other hand, I am a Christian and have no compelling reason to look into other religions or faiths.

It comes down, to me anyway, as a matter of faith. I believe that Jesus is my personal Lord and Savior and I worship God through Jesus.

Hi, none of those faiths to my knowledge teach that Jesus is the way the truth and the life. They most likely may not teach that forgiveness for sin is needed, and that Jesus died and resurrected, so that those of us who believe are forgiven our sins. They probably also don't teach that once we believe the Holy Spirit indwells us sealing us a mark, a guarantee of our redemption (salvation.)

Most religions teach that works saves them. That is if they do good enough they will be saved. Of course I don't know what they all teach, but unless Jesus is preached as the one to put their trust and faith in and to receive forgiveness of sins which comes from such, then they do not know the truth of God.

There were many faiths and little g gods is the OT, same as today, no different.

Can only tell you that Jesus is the truth, they way and the life, can't prove that to you, but nonetheless that is the truth.

Good place for this discussion might also be non christian religion where people can compare different beliefs etc, which I can't do.

But I came to Christ by faith or trust and he changed me and there is no denying such truth for me.

What makes Christianity special? Christ..

There are many little g gods (created gods), and only one God.

blessings,
tapero

We know Christianity is true the same way we know anything is true; we honestly and objectively examine the evidence and reach a logical conclusion. Because there is no way in a single post to go into detail about the historical or scientific evidences, etc., all I can tell you is that I have spent a long time studying this very issue and it is arguably the only reason I am a Christian today. I have studied and read the writings of other religions and invariably they are filled with edited, incomplete or unverifiable history, logical fallacies, self-contradictions, and (in the case of atheist publications) gross and even comical misrepresentations of Christianity and the Bible.

“Faith” as the Bible defines it is belief based on the evidence, not in spite of it. Verses used by some to try to show the opposite are taken out of the broader context of Biblical writings. God commands his people to think; to be rational. Even Jesus appealed to people on the basis of evidence. The Bible clearly commands us to be prepared to give an answer for why we believe what we do.

This is not to overemphasize the analytical process, though. There is another way we know it is true, and that is experientially when we begin a relationship with Christ. It is true that you do not have to be a Christian to have religious experiences. God is not the only supernatural being at work in the world. Having been in another religion myself, however, I can also tell you that, in comparing my experiences then to those I’ve had as a Christian, I recognize they were not of God and that I was being deceived. I realize this is a very subjective line of evidence, but that does not invalidate it. The subjective complements the objective. If it were not for this subjective evidence, we would have reason to doubt. After all, if Christianity is true, one would think it should come with some heart-felt experience.

I appreciate your post! : )

It will be very hard to explain why concerning each of theses religions, but all of them contain some truth, but all of them fall short of the truth as delieverd by the God of the Israelites and by the Messiah Jesus. Such as Baha'i- it is merely a form of many religions messed together - they claim many of the major prophets from many religions such as Moses, Zoroaster and Jesus- and they claim all of the religions agree- which is clearly a lie....i would go into detail but i don't feel like it tonight....anyways.....

Would you prefer for the pilot of the airliner that you are on to know some or all of the necessary truth as to how to land your plane while in a rain storm and with 35 mph crosswinds? Of course, all of what needs to be known. Why? Your life is at stake...Isn't it worth it? Seek out the religion and a minister of that religion who's comprehension of the truth is the whole truth and nothing but the truth because, basically, you are worth it. No doubt there is a certain percentage of truth to Buddhism, but in my opinion the fullest, richest and most approved possession of truth has always fallen to the ancient Jewish faith and the succeeding Christian faith which was derived from their Jewish forerunners.

Why? Because the Bible could only be written by a God - even though God used imperfect man to write it. It has hundreds of detailed prophesies that has come true and more to come. All 40 authors come from different time periods and different walks of life and they don't conflict with one another. Its the most accurate history book than any book in the world and the list goes on.

Other religious books don't remotely come close to these characteristics except the jewish faith uses parts of the Bible. Its the only religion that one isn't saved by works but by faith accepting Gods gift of grace. A God isn't impressed by works alone - it is like a bunch of ants trying to build you a house. Not real impressive is it. There is nothing we can do to earn our way to heaven - only Christ is the door way to it.

If you read The Evidence That Demands A Verdict by Josh McDowell (it would stand up in court concerning the validity of the Bible). All the evidence points to the Bible as a book that could only be by a God - because of how its structured.

Have we answered your question, TKOI? Of course, as Christians, we believe that Christianity has the most complete truth that it is possible for us mortal beings to attain - would we be Christians if we did not?

- but we are unanimous: it is not true that the other religions do not contain any truth. Many of them contain A LOT of truth. Think of Judaism! Islam too - it does not mock and dishonour Jesus, it honours Him and regards Him as a great prophet - many Muslims are called Issa (Jesus) - but it falls short because it does not acknowledge His divinity (nor the Redemption nor the Great Commandment of love).

This is what I believe. I believe Jesus to be the truth (John 14:6). There is no other person or way by which I can be saved. And it was through Judaism that Jesus came. First of all to reunite them with God, then to all the Gentiles (of which I am one) after that (Matt 10:5; Matt 15:25; John 6:36-40; Acts 1:6-8).

The Jewish system of worship was set up to foreshadow the ministry of Jesus while he was on earth and back in heaven. The sacrifices they made (especially the Day of Atonement) represented the death of Jesus on the cross. When the Israelites become sick from the snakes in the wilderness Moses was to make a cross with a serpent on it, that when those who had been bitten looked up at it they would be healed. If they didn't they would die. Num 21:6-9. This also represented us. Through sin we are going to die. Those who look upon the Son of God on the cross will live, those who don't will die. John 3:14-15; 12:32-33.

I also believe there to be an enemy of God, Satan or the devil (also known as the dragon Rev 12:9). He wants to be as powerful as God is (Isa 14:12-14). He wants people to worship himself (2 Thess 2:3-4, 8-10; Rev 13:1,2,4-6). In order to do this he decieves people and does his best to turn them away from God and hence to himself. The best way to do this is to combine truth with error.

That is the reason when Jesus' disciples asked him what the signs of the end would be the first thing Jesus said was "Watch out no one decieves you" (Matt 24:4). 3 times throughout Matt 24, Jesus warns of false prophets and false Christs coming to deceive people through miracles and signs. The only ones not to be deceived are "the elect". (Matt 24:5, 23-24, 26-7).

What makes Christianity so special?

I believe it is because Christ is at the centre of it.

Satan wants to make himself like God so in order to do that, he has to take Christ out of the way. He thought he could by killing him on the cross. But it only worked for a short time. Then Christ was raised from the dead. We serve and worship a living God who cares so much about every single person that he chose to give up everything for us. So now that Satan's plan didn't work, if he can make people worship and take Christ out of it, then ultimately they are worshipping him instead of God.

God lays out a choice for each of us. Who will we worship? God, the creator of the world, who loves us and gave up everything for us, or Satan our accuser and enemy of God? He also puts the question before you too. Who will you worship?

This is a good but tough question. I need to ask theses questions based on original question.
(I appoligise for not giving an answer).
I am not looking for a debate, but just maybe other thoughts on how God could be universal..possibly brigde a gap between man made religions.

How can a just God send a person to hell for having faith in him but having it for the wrong religion?

Is not Religion man made, and are we not brought into this world being brought up by just one religion?

Would someone who devoted thier life to serving the sick and the dying and bringing dignity to the world, be in the category of "No Share In The World To Come" because thier understanding of God is different, than someone else.

Does not God Judge in Measure?
Does not God hear the Prayers of All who pray to God?

note: The God I am refering to is the God of Abraham.

God Bless

All these other religions require you to be a good person and more before acceptance.

The True God went to great lengths to prove Man incapable on his own.

The difference is Grace
