I have friends fishing commercially up there this summer, and they always come back very tanned so I'm assuming it's pretty warm there in July.

And no, Portage glacier has not melted. It's an ancient hunk of ice!

Oh yeah, the tunnel to get into Whittier is closed at like 9 or 10pm so you can't get in or out until it opens back up in the morning. So if you go, you need to get out before that time or you'll be stuck there until morning!

I've just taken a bunch of pictures today in Wasilla, so when I get them developed I'll put them up here

My Dad, sister, her boyfriend, and his mom went fishing yesterday, and caught their limit in halibut. I'm ready for some beer-battered halibut when I go home next week.

I'm from Alaska too, I was also at the LBMB...... But I never really went outside of the teen section.

The first one is up Hatcher Pass...and the second is downtown Palmer at around 10pm...lovely!

Yes, I do live in Palmer actually. It's a lovely little town..I may even like it more than Wasilla! Where did your uncle move from?

North Pole. I like the area down there, its very beautiful, especially in Anchorage, and Homer.

Well, my trip home was wonderful. I bawled like a baby on my last day there. Even though I've lived in the midwest for four years now, Alaska is still home to me, and it felt like I was leaving for the first time.

I don't live in the Valle or Anchorage, but I do live in Eagle River!!! I will also be at the State fair at the Acrtic Oasis Booth that Women's AGLOW will be sponsoring (an interdenominational women's ministry). So come on over, sit down, have some free water and let's get to know each other!!!

The State Fair is over Labor Day weekend... although I can't remember when it starts or ends. Rebecca St. James will be there one night to sing.
