Actually, I'd say there's always that possibility. You know . . . there could be gnomes in the world. We just haven't seen any for a really long time. But then, I'm pretty gullible (I have a fantastically strong imagination).

But do you believe it to be true, in all honesty?

You're not getting it. An American history account of the Cold War written by the Russians would be biased toward the USSR. An account written by the Swiss would be neutral (because the Swiss are known for their neutrality) so the objective account would be more credible.
I trust the side with the least to gain by propoganda, given the current situation. Often shame is a factor. Today, I'd take American WWII over Japanese, and American Yankee over Dixie. A teacher I had in high school once recalled a student from the South that never learned the South lost the Civil War until she moved to California. It just wasn't explained that way in the textbooks or by the teachers.

I went from a Methodist, to a Bhuddist, to a Muslim was an atheist and am now a Roman Catholic.

I have found the true faith, I dont need to change...yet I have changed several times.
And in none of those cases did you have any choice.

JesusWalks78, it is surprising to hear that you have learned so much from so many religions and still completely lack wisdom. You better than most in here should know that the path to truth is not clear, and with each new discovery made, a seeker always believes he has found the end. Believe what you will, but it would be foolish of you to proclaim that you now know the truth, seeing as how you probably made the same claim so many times before when you believed such different things.

The path to truth is clouded by the enemy, he is trying to keep everyone from the truth...luckily I found it.

Oh my God, it's like you didn't even read what I said. You are like a man with an insatiable sexual appetite who runs from woman to woman. While you lie with her, you say to yourself, "At last I have found her. This is the one who will always please me." After a while, though, you either grow bored with her or discover her flaws, and then you say to yourself, "While I once believed that this woman was the right one for me, I now see that she is a mere harlot whom I used to occupy my time. I should seek another." It is this way that you run from religion to religion, declaring this one right and then that one, and never realizing that the newest will not be the last.

It's also important to note that this "enemy" is nothing more or less than the fabrication of your latest crush.

Hardly a search for the spiritual is not the same as fornication.

You have yet to demonstrate that while I went from religion to religion I was forced into them...and it wasnt a choice?
The only way to disprove a blanket statement is to find a counterexample. This unfortunately places the burden of proof on you. Show me someone choosing to change or adopt even the simplest belief for demonstration purposes only, and then I will agree people can "choose" to believe something. Until then, nothing suggests people have any choice whatsoever in their beliefs. This is probably why people who are persecuted for faith continue to believe!

Good and evil are subject to what a majority of a society thinks. A society will often dictate "exceptions" to a rule as well. For example, in the west murder is generally considered a major offense. However, if the country is at war a man who kills 15 opponents will be considered a hero. Perhaps that man would feel guilty if he killed just 1 person back at home, but now that his culture has told him it's ok, his guilt is lessened (and I know, he may still feel terrible about it).
Oh, and for those that think speeding is a sin, I have to ask you: If Jesus were alive today and went above the posted speed limit, would that take away his sinless status?
