Again, simply asserting that the numbers are high is meaningless if you can't say how far off they actually are or offer a way to determine which deaths are wrongly attributed to COVID. And it ignores the fact that just as some deaths are going to be wrongly attributed to COVID, some COVID deaths will be wrongly attributed to other causes. The margin of error goes both ways.

There is an undeniable FACT that more people have died - regardless of the cause - in the last few months than expected.

No it's how it works, thats how diseases work, you guys are tilting at windmills trying to find any reason to attack covid numbers, and it's seriously a joke. When you look at flu or covid deaths, you want to look at everything that lead up to the deaths, and how much a part covid was involved.

There have been instances where Covid had 0%...and it was counted as a covid death.

To be fair there has been some deaths removed. I believe Pennsylvania removed some deaths from their count after reevaluating them.

The Covid Tracking Project and the NYT are the two most widely used aggregators of Coronavirus test results.

Neither includes antibody tests in their confirmed cases figures.

So when you look at data from pretty much any chart published about US 'cases' you are looking at RNA test results.

There needs to be a proper shutdown in the first place, which the US never had. A full month of fully-enforced shelter in place, truly essential shopping and work only with masks on at all times, and prohibitively high fines for noncompliance. It’s far too big and diverse a country for crucial public health measures to be left up to the individual.

that’s what Barbados did . 24 hour curfew at first . I think they had less than 100 cases with about 7 deaths. Barbados is a small island and numbers like the USA has would have wiped out the population.
