I would agree with this more.
Adam is the representation of Christ the Son of God. In fact Luke 3:38 says "... Adam was the son of God." John 3:16 says, "For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son..." Jesus would constantly refer to himself as the
Son of Man (Ben Adam... Bin Adam). Paul says, "The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam
became a life-giving spirit." ! Corinthians 15:45. John 1: 14, And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,...
In referring to himself as the Son of Man -although the devil refereed to him as the Son of God during temptations-, Jesus meant to stamp his place as man (One who eats the fruit given to him by the woman). The bible is so categorical while using the article "the". Secondly, the author would have referred to Eve, instead uses the term "the woman."
This picture of the woman and the serpent is shown in the book of revelation 12. The bible is very consistent... The serpent here stood before the woman to devour her child who would rule the all the nations. This is he who opposes or the adversary or Satan or the devil. The woman having proceeded from the man is a consistent representation of the Church. As Jesus said I will establish my church, from the church proceeds the authority of Christ who is the Godhead dwelling bodily. This is the Son that the serpent seeks to devour.
Adam in being consistent with the scriptures "ate" from the woman. Isaiah 53: 4. "Surely He took on our infirmities and carried our sorrows... 1 Peter 2:24 "He Himself bore our sins in His body..." Romans 4:25 "Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification." Hebrews 2:17 "Therefore, in all things He had to be made like
His brethren...to make propitiation for the sins of the people."
This is how he who ate the fruit brought death in that he died for our sins... for the wages of sin is death... but rose again in life. Thus First Adam (in the flesh) died to take away every condemnation, and rose again in Christ to give life to all by reconciling men back to God.
So the picture of Adam and Eve represent the gospel of Christ in every way. It is not the history of sin
per se but a demonstration of grace. In that he took our own form of weakness and conquered the chain of death and hades do that those who dwelt there might be loosed to life with the Father. He created a room for us all in the Father.
Colossians 3:1-4
3 1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
