I was talking about the example i posted. the round Styrofoam ball i was lighting, was lit by an incandescent light.

But i do believe the moon is lit from beneath its surface, probably the same way the sun is lit. It is just the sun is a greater light.

So the only thing that remains is for you to simply go to the moon yourself or to send your own space probe. You think all the evidence of others is an elaborate fraud.

That's easy. If it was flat, it would appear to change shape as it went across the sky. It would appear as an oval, then become circular, then back to an oval again. Only a sphere would stay round as it crosses the sky.

Do you honestly think the moon contorted itself into that weird, irregular shape? Because it's there's obviously a lot of refraction going on from heat differences. You can find plenty of pictures, or make some yourself, of a round moon on the horizon.

No, that is due to refraction. When the sun or moon is just a little higher above the horizon it is perfectly circular.
