Why's there a horizon? Why can't he see New York from there? Here you go... Looking out the door just before he jumped... Horizon at mid frame.. and.. no curve.
Very nice....Of course
And.... you won't. There is humidity and dust and temperature changes that distort and disturb the light reaching your eye from great distances... But, we do see too far. Why's there a horizon? Why can't he see New York from there?
OK, so who created everything else? What people, christians and people who identify as christian, fail to see is. Genesis 1 is not about the creation of the universe and earth. It is about the creation of the raqia and earth. This raqia is named or called heaven By God in Genesis 1:8.
They ought to start by looking out there windows. If yoiu want to know about what God has made, look at it! Get out there in it! Sail His seas and fly His skies! You'll find that yoiu've grossly misunderstood what you've read in the Bible. The universe that God spoke into being if magnificent beyonf human understanding, but you lot try to enclose it in a snow globe. What nonsense! When people (believers) start to actually look at the actual creation described in The Bible.
You'd limit God's creation to what tiny bit you can understand. Science, properly so called, is a matter of studying God's creationto i8nderstand what He has done. Not only, to actually look, but to actually believe it. To be able to clear their minds of the indoctrination of science and actually see the creation described in The Bible.
Fair play, sit in your dogtrot cabin with the doors shut, believing that's all there is. The infinite majesty of God is written on His boundless creation, which you will never know as long as your eyes are shut.[/QUOTE]Then it will began to expose the lies of science and stopping the true creation from being known, will be like trying to stop a leaking dam, by trying to tape up the leaks.
Interesting gibberish, but if the earth is flat why is there a horizon at all?Very nice....
Now, let me clarify. On any earth, as you go up in altitude, your line of site to the horizone is going to go down.
and flocks of ducks, they could block our vision too. And road signs. But why can't I see Nashville from here? Or even Shelbyville? Weather's about the same there as here, no dust to speak of, humidity is nominal this time of year. How about Monteagle? Monteagle Mountain is the highest spot in these parts, sticks up above the surrounding countryside like a great wall of stone. Only about 70 miles away, maybe less. Why can't I see it from my upstairs window? What kind of excuses do you have for those places being invisible from here?And.... you won't. There is humidity and dust and temperature changes that distort and disturb the light reaching your eye from great distances.
That is not correct. You are ignoring perspective, which is odd, seeing as that is usually one of the go to's for flat earthers. On a flat earth the horizon will always be at eye level no matter how high your elevation because you can see further and everything in the distance shrinks to the vanishing point. Now, let me clarify. I know. According to them the sky and ground should blur into a band of haze at some distance, yet we always see a distinct line.Interesting gibberish, but if the earth is flat why is there a horizon at all?

OK, so who created everything else?
The universe is "everything that exists". Therefore God created the universe whether it's 10 square miles or 1 to 10 the billionth power cubic miles. You believe that God created a little bitty universe, I think He created an unfathomably massive one.
Except that here in the southern hemisphere the stars in the night sky circle the south celestial pole in the opposite direction to that which stars in the night sky circle the north celestial pole in the northern hemisphere. Something that is impossible in the earth model formed by your very subjective interpretation of Scripture yet completely consistent with the globe. What is seen when a person looks out their widow (on a clear day) they see the sun, moon and stars (at night) moving over the earth in the raqia, 1st heaven, sky just like The Bible states.

If you have ever drawn a picture of a road or hallway... or landscape.. You will realize that there are always lines of convergance and the size of things diminish as they get further away.Interesting gibberish, but if the earth is flat why is there a horizon at all?

It does.. but.. it has to go down a bit as you are higher and the last point of the actual flat plain will be lower. That is not correct.
