Rather late interventions? How so? An ultrasound at as early as 8 weeks can convince a mother not to abort her baby.
IMO, Sex Education needs to be provided by the parents, not the government. Just another reason why when I have children they won't go to a public school. But if we are going to provide sex ed, we should also be providing information on Abstinence as well. And I don't believe anybody should have any easier access to contraception. We already give away enough as is. It's really quite simple for me, if you don't want children, don't have sex.
By allowing abortion, we have created a method by which people can have sex without consequences. Instead of having to raise a child that they've brought into the world, they simply choose Option B and kill the child. And they think this frees them of any harmful consequences. People have a very flippant attitude towards sex today, which, IMHO stems from the fact that we proved "Sex Education" that teaches children that it's okay to have sex. Secondly, we provide contraception to young people who aren't emotionally ready for sex. And third, we've allowed Abortion. And what has developed is people have this idea that sex at any age is okay, and you don't have to worry about consequences because you have contraception, and if that fails, abortion. In reality, we've created a society where venereal diseases are far more prevalent, which I attribute to these three factors. You have children as young as 10, 11, and 12 having illicit sex. People today aren't getting the emotional maturity they need to handle a sexual relationship. This, in turn, lends itself to causing more abortions because girls and young women can't handle what they've done, and since they've become programmed to believe that a baby isn't a baby until it's reached a certain stage of development, then they aren't really killing a baby.
