Those states which have passed abortion bans have been truly successful. They get all the publicity and support from conservatives and their women are still having abortions.

See, there is this drug which induces abortions. It is relatively safe and, thanks to the Internet, it is being prescribed in foreign countries and shipped to the people who want it. And the states can't figure out how to stop it.

This country is truly great. Politicians can pander to ultra-conservative and religious voters by banning abortions and women can still get abortions without much difficulty with the 'state' not even knowing it.

Just making something illegal doesn't stop it. I can't believe that so very many people didn't learn that from alcohol prohibition.

In other threads where people were fantasying about Roe v Wade being overturned I pointed this issue out. The only way around it I thought of is for states to start rather draconian monitoring of women.

Yep. In a land where money is king, culling the herd to only those willing to slave for their masters is the cheapest way to go.

There is no room for compassion and empathy where money is concerned.

Actually, it isn't evolution at all. Evolution is how long term changes in a species occurs.

This isn't long term. This is short term and it is called capitalism. Capitalism is nothing more than greed on steroids. And it has no use for anyone or anything which does not produce profit.

I know what you mean. These draconian laws against rape don't stop rape. They need to be repealed. A man's decision to rape a woman should be between him and his god.

I understand that you are trying to substitute something you think I will object to as a way to make a point. However, a fundamental difference applies which makes your observation useless.

Rape involves the unwilling participation of another living, breathing human being. Abortion does not.

However, if a rapist wants to touch with his own body, I'm good with that.
