If you are going to declare that abortion is murder from the moment of conception, as many pro-lifers do, then you have to accept the "zygote card" as a fair play.

Morals are varying across all societies and really are not worth much. At one time it was 'moral' to allow crowd lynchings in this country.

Biologically there is no evidence there is a 'human being' at the level of construction that abortions are performed at.

See, there is this drug which induces abortions. It is relatively safe and, thanks to the Internet, it is being prescribed in foreign countries and shipped to the people who want it. And the states can't figure out how to stop it.

This country is truly great. Politicians can pander to ultra-conservative and religious voters by banning abortions and women can still get abortions without much difficulty with the 'state' not even knowing it.

Just making something illegal doesn't stop it. I can't believe that so very many people didn't learn that from alcohol prohibition.

Replace the word "abortion" with the word "gun" and see if you still agree with the same line of reasoning.

I think you're probably right (although Hobby Lobby won't like it). Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy, and pregnancy does not begin until implantation.

Shooting for accuracy certainly isn't good for biological and moral issues, huh? That particular poem was specifically written about a horrible time in human history as a lesson for us work together as actual, living, breathing human beings against tyranny.

It -is- appropriate in this day and age, but not about abortion. Rather it is appropriate about how a nation treats other people and certainly would apply to how America is treating people who come to our borders seeking asylum from their own nation.

I'm not in favor of gun bans. What makes you think I would think differently if you substituted gun for abortion.

We may well need better and more effective gun laws, but I have never supported complete bans on guns. -I- have a gun...somewhere. I think a ban on guns is totally ludicrous.
