well do you want the truth?

The truth is unless you love God in your heart which takes a surrender of your will and becoming dependent on God you will go to hell. Fear of hell can drive a person to God, but it can not make a person Love God. Hell is being cut off from everything that comes from God. God is not sitting up there thinking of new ways to torment you. If you think of everything good, and now picture being completely cut off from that for ever, that is hell.

The Good News is God does not want you to go there, he does not want to cut you off from him. What he wants is your Love, that is all. Because he loves you. To know God is to love Him.

You must see that you are flawed that you sin, we all do, and the price of that sin is death, But Jesus came and was beaten to the point he was unrecognizable for you, that was your punishment, He was whipped till his back looked like hamburger meat for you, that was your punishment, he was nailed to The Cross and murder for you, that was your punishment. He took it all for you, and He was resurrected on the 3rd day, and that too is for you. If you will lay down your will, take up Gods Live for him and by Him, Love Him. You don't have to do it all at once God will change you we are works in progress. He will make you a man of God, you just have to pray and ask him, and ask him for forgiveness. After everything Jesus has done for me I love Him. I don't know about you but no one has ever come close to doing hat Jesus did for me On The Cross. ANd he Loves me when no one else did. I love him. I guess the question is is that enough for you to Love Him, and if not, what more do you need? He gave it all held nothing back, and if that is not enough there is just no hope for you.

I hope I can call you my Brother one day, and Know, the moment you accept Jesus all of heaven will be cheering and rejoicing over just you.

Peace and Love is what is all about

Dear MackDaddyWithLord. In Luke 10: 25-28: Jesus gives a Lawyer Good News. The Lawyer asked: " Master, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"
Jesus answered: " What is written in the Law? How readest you?" The Lawyer answered: " Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself." Jesus answered: " Do this and THOU SHALT LIVE." In Matthew 22: 35-40: Jesus gave the same answer, and this great truth: " On these two Commandments
to Love God and love thy neighbour, hang all the Law and the Prophets."
God wants our Love, freely given and NO conditions tagged on.
In Matthew 7: 7-10: we are told: " Ask and ye shall receive," then we thank God and share all Love and Joy with our neighbour, i.e. all we know and all we
meet, friends and not friends. We keep asking God for Love and Joy, then share all Love and Joy with our neighbour. We might stumble and forget at times, but then we ask God to forgive us, and carry on loving and caring.
God will notice, and God will approve and Bless us, AND God will know that we Love God, because we are following His Commandments to Love and Care.
I say this with love, MackDaddyWithLord. Greetings from Emmy, sister in Christ.

One verse that comes in my mind is James 2:19
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that--and shudder.

If you're at the point where you're seeking answers and what to believe I think it's a good thing, but at some point I believe you have to make a choice to follow it or not. Like the verse says, Believing there is a higher power is good, but will not guarantee you will go to heaven. Our Christian faith tells us that the only way to guarantee you will go to heaven is to believe in Jesus Christ.

I also think it's OK to constantly question what you believe for understanding. If it doesn't prove true - then it would not make sense to follow it. Many people question the Bible, but time and time again it has proven itself as a reliable document. Archeologists have questioned the accuracy of certain details in the Bible, only to later find evidence that prove it true.

what if you believe in a higher power but not exactly religion ?
if i had to pick a religion i would be a christian

would i go to hell? if i do not believe everything in the bible or even die questioning it ?
Ever thought of looking for Christ, instead of a religion?

Did Jesus ever mention selecting a religion?

Read John 3:16, chapter 3 verse 16, if you have a Bible with the New Testament to start with. That's the gospel message in a quick nut shell. There is more, but it starts there in the 3rd chapter of the Gospel of John.

Continue praying my brother for the Lord to reveal himself fully to you. We all have issue that perplex us even though we might not be open about them. Our goal is to pray for faith in Jesus Christ and his word.
