My main problem is hypocrites in CF.

To be fair, there are hypocrites in all camps. There are control freaks in all camps. Every trait we see in Christians, also exists among non-Christians. What I'm pointing out is, Christians are no better or worse as message board moderators, than non-Christians.

I do have some concerns with some who are "professed Christians" in this world.

Well, I'm not getting into what is, and what is not a True Christian. I'm just saying that it doesn't take a True Christian to moderate an internet message board.

Regardless of decisions made, stomping out in a huff is not the answer. I see the attitudes as more of the root of the problem than any decisions.



My heart goes out to those people, but again, they do not need to fear. Christ will take care of their every need. If CF is truly not going to be a place where they can recieve fellowship then another way will be provided. I wouldn't have thought that there would be many people in this situation though?



I welcome the changes, I don't know if I would say I was happy. For one thing we don't really know what we're getting yet. We have the underlying motivation Erwin has given us and some brief intentions, but the devil is always in the details. We could be banding together as a group to support Erwin in an effort to remove some of the considerable problems which plague this site, and trying to ensure that the bits we value are not lost. I don't see so much of that. Some, but not much.

you'd be surprised how many ppl have this as their only link with other christians. either theyve been hurt by ppl in church, or theyre ill or live somewhere remote. you'd be surprised.

the thing is, from what ive been readin he hasnt been here for a year or so. its his website so in theory he can decide to make it a fanfic site for Buffy if he wants. but that doesnt mean ppl arnt affected. ppl who signed up in good faith - forgive the pun - thinkin this was just somewhere they could come for fellowship and support. why the TOTAL change? why not find some middle ground? why the theatrics and deadlines and hints? this has been handled wrong and if this whole discussion is indicative of whats to come, it aint lookin good is it?

Actually, I don't totally disagree with that. I just probably disagree with him about what exactly is a sin and what isn't... To me, a sin is when someone purposefully harms another person. And I don't tolerate harming others. Tolerance isn't about accepting everything.

Not that that surprises me, because it doesn't at all. It's part of the playbook.

Or part of God's Sovereign as God is ruling all things to work together for our good and His purpose. Romans 8:28-29 "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."

Even Calvinists should understand this which is why I am upset (as a Calvinist) with some Calvinists in the past two days.

Are we to lose our faith icons? I heard a couple people mention that, is it true?

well according to Erwins announcement there won't be any more restrictions on faith icons...meaning..nobody else can say whether your a certain denomination or not..only YOU can say..and only YOU can change your icon if you choose. (Ex: in OBOB there is a faction of people that think THEY decide who IS or ISN't Catholic and they were taking away peoples faith icons)

Yet..i heard others here saying ERwin is getting rid of the faith icons all together, but who knows.

The question is what will the faith icons mean anyway? They won't be used for posting purposes. All threads will be open to all members. What difference will the Icon make?
