Oh. So Judas was one of the 12 in your opinion, I guess. Why did they replace Judas?
Judas was replaced by Matthias because he committed suicide.

That is not what he asked.....Judas was replaced by Matthias because he committed suicide.
You said there were only 12, so that would be 13 with JudasJudas was replaced by Matthias because he committed suicide.
You said there were only 12, so that would be 13 with Judas
It's ALL ABOUT ME.. hahaPart of the issue is in who is being addressed. Many Christians read themselves into every verse. My assertion is that that is not the correct way to read the Bible. Some of the NT is history; some is instructive to the apostles, and some is didactic teaching aimed at all Christians. Understanding who the audience is is the first step to proper interpretation.

Can you recommend a good bible aide or a hermanutics study? I guess I never thought of the NT as history, other than the book of Acts, but even that gets confusing because is the book of ACTS the history of the church (at a point in time) or how it should continue to be (tongues, etc..)?
Was Jesus alive in Acts? There needed 12 living apostles to carry on the work of Jesus who was alive again. (Peter also gives reasons to replace Judas in Acts)
Was Jesus alive in Acts?
Was Judas alive when Jesus resurrected?
After resurrection and today......Yes, after resurrection before ascension
Why don't you go look and find out? What did he ask?
Why don't you go look and find out?
He Is Alive! He is no longer with us in bodily form after ascension.
Follow the thread up.....It will be difficult for me because you have replied for someone else.
Not surprised....I have replied to his. He has not asked further.
