How did the ancient Hebrews test their cosmological model and who peer reviewed it?

Modern cosmology is based on the old religious idea that the universe created itself and support anything supernatural as long as it doesn't include God; black holes, pixie dust ... I meant dark matter , dark energy , inflation ,multiverse , 11 dimensions, etc.
Scientist still assumes the universe revolves around his intellect.

God meets people where they are and in the ancient times they weren't ready for something as sophisticated as modern science. Heck, they were still using stone tools until the bronze age. They weren't thinking about producing electricity, nuclear power, rockets, modern flight, cell phones and televisions back then.

I agree the scriptures were not written to scientist of that day but common people and it was put in simple language so that it could be translated throughout the history of man. If you want write something that would to be meaningful thousands years from now you wouldn't want to use today science as your base as most science in the past has be proven wrong as no doubt most of our science today will be in the future.

The earth (continent) four corners are north of Israel , south of Israel, east of Israel, west of Israel. What make you believe man didn't do science in the past. Now most knowledge was destroyed when the civilization was destroyed. The same thing would happen when the Roman Empire fail if it wasn't for the church put up monasteries over Europe not only to save scripture but history and science. Well, i concede on one point, the ancients were quite advanced in their astrologies, however, they did not have studies in the literal hundreds of advanced sciences we have today.

The 7 Days (periods of labor) are NOT yet over since we live today on the present 6th Day. We live at Gen 1:27 because God is STILL creating Adam (mankind) in His Image Col 1:15 which is in Christ Spiritually. Noah and his descendants did because it was flat. It was "clean dissolved" in the Flood. Isa 24:19 Our Earth could not dissolve in water but Adam's did because it was very flat and only 22.5 feet at the peak of it's highest mountains. Gen 7:20 Amen?

I would suggest that the Biblical account of Genesis can not be interpreted either literally or figuratively.
