The president of the United States is openly violating his oath of office. We have an invasion, cartels are taking over, fentanyl is pouring into our country, huge numbers of women and children are being trafficked, and an unknown number of hard core criminals and terrorists are coming over the border. The president is not just derelict in his duty but is facilitating these things by his policies.
Which policies are you talking about here?

I'm sorry, is this an accusation or some sort of crime or something?

Last I saw the lawsuit was dismissed.
The DeSantis administration is facing multiple lawsuits over the program, including one filed last Monday by The Florida Center for Government Accountability alleging DeSantis was not releasing records related to the flights. The Treasury Department’s watchdog is looking into whether theFlorida governor improperly used money connected to federal Covid-19 relief funds to pay for the flights while a sheriff in Texas is probing whether the flights broke any laws.

The president is not just derelict in his duty but is facilitating these things by his policies. He is taking taxpayer resources and using those resources to go after his political opponents, resources that should be used to fight crime and to helping people in need.
As long as the MSM ignores all these things, and the admin can deny the invasion is happening, and somehow blame the Fentanyl crisis on Americans, pretend the trafficked individuals are willing participants, and see hard core criminals as being those "looking for a better life", then it doesn't sound so bad, and it's so-called "MAGA Republicans" who are the bad guys if they say otherwise.

Wow....he must be the only one facing prosecution for the misappropriation of covid funds.

If that's a crime, most of this administration should be in jail.

A lawyer and a sheriff help Martha’s Vineyard migrants get a ‘bit of justice’

In the ensuing weeks, the sheriff in San Antonio and the lawyer from Martha’s Vineyard would forge an unusual partnership as Salazar launched an investigation and gathered evidence from the migrants. Their work produced an unexpected outcome to the migrants’ long journeys. The group of 49 people, nearly all from Venezuela, became eligible for a type of visa available only to victims of crimes who are assisting in law enforcement investigations, a process that also shields them from deportation.

Salazar and Self made an improbable pair. Salazar grew up in Universal City, a northern suburb of San Antonio, and spent more than two decades in the San Antonio Police Department, where he worked in narcotics and internal affairs, eventually heading the public integrity unit. In 2016, he was elected sheriff of Bexar County, which has a population of 2 million.

Self, 45, was born in New York and had a brief career in acting before becoming a lawyer. She runs a private practice handling criminal defense and immigration cases from an office in downtown Boston, but lives on Chappaquiddick Island at the eastern edge of Martha’s Vineyard.

Became eligible?
Yes, since the Bexar sheriff suspects a crime was committed in their transportation, they became eligible for protection under a U visa for victims of criminal activity so they can aid the law enforcement investigation. They may also be eligible under refugee status and can pursue both statuses independently.

Right...but they only actually get the visa if they manage to prove a crime occurred...right?

Wrong. The sheriff has decided he needs their help in the investigation, and he has extended this visa status, which they have received.

Is the “crime” that [allegedly] occurred them being flown to Martha’s Vineyard?

That is correct.

Sept 19 (Reuters) - A Texas county sheriff is opening a criminal investigation into flights that carried dozens of migrants to Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, from Texas last week, an act that Florida's Republican governor took credit for and which the White House dubbed a political stunt.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said at a news conference on Monday that around 50 migrants were "lured under false pretences" on the streets of San Antonio, put up in a hotel, bused to planes and "stranded unceremoniously in Martha's Vineyard," a wealthy vacation island, "for nothing other than a photo op."

Oh ok....so it's a visa that expires after they finish cooperating.

Yeah, something to do with the funding of the flight I think. Others didn't get to bid on the contract I think.

The “contract” that was apparently proffered from the Governor’s office in Florida to the contractor in Texas, to fly people in Texas to Massachusetts, yes.

Lol so it expires....they were granted a visa that allows them to stay during the investigation, maybe even a little longer.

This is the big victory?
Be careful, you nearly hit my head with that goalpost!

No, just you being factually wrong over and over.

I didn't claim to know about U Visas....your article made it sound like it was a big deal.

It essentially says they applied for temporary visas that are dependent upon these people helping the prosecution.
