Close indeed. What do you all think of these first four riders? We were debating in our bible study last night whether the four riders are sequential in time (conquest, war, famine, death) or all come as a group of 4 riders together?

I was taught that the 4 horsemen are the 4 super powers of our day. The last one has yet to finally come together.
The prophet Zechariah had a vision of 4 chariots of judgment. He asked an angel who they were. The angel said, `
These are the 4 spirits of heaven, who go out from their station before the Lord of all the earth.` (Zech. 6: 5)
Now we know that God the Father is bringing the Son`s enemies to His footstool for judgment.(Ps.110:1) Thus I believe these 4 horsemen, depict what these 4 spirits of heaven are doing - corralling the nations into 4 great Federations and bringing them to judgment.
1. White horse, man crowned, conquering and conquering. The British Empire, now the British Commonwealth, conquered nearly a 1/4 of the world. It has a crowned Monarch.
2. The Red horse. The Soviet Union was the next Federation to arise, and shed much blood - over 40 million in their gulags. Now it is the Russian Federation.
3. The Black horse. The European Union. It has given the world the philosophy of the Common Market, and this has led to great poverty over the world. With the rising inflation, soon to be hyperinflation across the world we will see the few rich get richer and the middle class sink down into the poorer class. `A day`s pay for a loaf of bread.` That is what the scales represent - a market economy.
4. The Pale horse. Islam. This is the most terrifying Federation that will arise in the tribulation, that man has ever seen.
The prophet Daniel was also given a vision of these 4 great Federations of our time.
Interesting to note that the G7/8 & G20 & UN, are all ruled over by, - the lion/eagle & bear & leopard Federation. The last, Islam will deceive the others till they gain control.
Always God gives the interpretation IN HIS WORD.
