In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. The Bible doesnt say the Christians were sacrificing animals, it says they were worshiping God in the temple.

Luk 24:53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

You can pretend all you want that Christians, blessed by Christ himself, didnt worship in the temple, but you are wrong.

So very wrong.

Luk 24:50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands(Jesus), and blessed them.
Luk 24:51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them(Jesus), he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. (Jesus)
Luk 24:52 And they worshipped him(Jesus), and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
Luk 24:53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

What is the significance of a Church building to a Christian?

Why do Christians condemn the Jewish Temple, built to worship the same God we do, but think its ok to build there own temples?

God doesnt care about WHERE you worship him, I just hope Christians figure that out.

There are far more Christian "temples" where Christians worship God, than there are temples of God in Jerusalem.

Christians are hypocrites for condemning yet another place of worship for our God, like our Temples are special.

You really are afraid of that temple going up arent you.

It is all written down in Hebrews 10:1-31

No one can come to the Father but through the Son (including Jews).

Did I say anything to the contrary? I agree with that, there is no salvation outside of Christ.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (Jesus Christ)

Still doesnt change the fact that Christians worshipped in the Temple, you cant erase that from scripture no matter how hard you try.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (Jesus Christ)

One Sacrifice of Christ Is Sufficient

10 For the Law, since it has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the very form of things, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually year by year, make perfect those who draw near. 2 Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have had consciousness of sins? 3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins year by year. 4 For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.

5 Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says,
“Sacrifice and offering You have not desired,
But a body You have prepared for Me;
6 In whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You have taken no pleasure.
7 “Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come
(In the scroll of the book it is written of Me)
To do Your will, O God.’”

8 After saying above, “Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You have not desired, nor have You taken pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the Law), 9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first in order to establish the second. 10 By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 Every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins; 12 but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 waiting from that time onward until His enemies be made a footstool for His feet. 14 For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified. 15 And the Holy Spirit also testifies to us; for after saying,
16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them
After those days, says the Lord:
I will put My laws upon their heart,
And on their mind I will write them,”

He then says,
17 “And their sins and their lawless deeds
I will remember no more.”

18 Now where there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin.

A New and Living Way

19 Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; 24 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Christ or Judgment

26 For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.” And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” 31 It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

You are supporting the same faith I have in Christ. I agree with every word of the Bible.

Okay, you are right on that point but also Jesus warned them about its coming destruction and that they should flee from Jerusalem when they see the signs.

But back to the case in point, there is NO MORE offerings for sin, this includes Jews and Gentiles both. Or they are guilty of trampling underfoot the Son of God.

Jesus just said the Temple would not have one stone unturned, and he was right.

In 70ad the Temple was destroyed, and the Jews were expelled.

You are correct, there is no way to receive salvation without the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, and faith in his resurrection.

All Im doing is showing you that if the Jews erect a 3rd temple, which seems any day now, that the building itself means nothing.

Its a building made of earthly things. Its not an "evil" building. Its a building, a temple, a church.

Why its significant is whats more important, as we will see the fulfillment of prophecy bringing in the Great Tribulation, and the coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

And how is this relevent to the Third Temple, when the Scriptures adamantly state there is no more sacrifice for sin and if one sacrifices for sin they trample underfoot the Son of God.

The Third Temple is not Jewish salvation. Jesus is Jewish salvation.

Except continue the Levitical priesthood and animal sacrifices against the word preached in the Biblical.

In effect, building the Third Temple is the VERY ACT of denying Christ, his priesthood and his sacrifice for all mankind.

Why would God want to institute the denial of his Son with this Third Temple?

If we see a Jewish temple (any day now, pending peace with Palestine) then Daniels prophecy will begin to be fulfilled.

The last 7 years on earth as we know it.

2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Thats your opinion, the Jews dont accept Christ, they believe what they are doing is right, and Holy in the sight of God.

Dont worry, they will find out the hard way.

I think its worse that the Jews deny Christ, however they choose to show it, temple or not.

The Temple is only relevant to prophecy, if we see a 3rd Temple, you better get right with Christ if you arent already, and lift up your head.

Weve prepared our whole lives for this moment.

The Third Temple will observe the Old Covenant.

Because when that Temple goes up, all hell breaks forth.

Like I said, this is what weve been waiting for ever since the Jews returned to Israel from all the nations of the world in 1948 after 2000 years away from their homeland.

This prophecy is fulfilled, concerning the Jews return in 1948

Eze 38:8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land(1948) that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people(all over the world), against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations(The Jews returned in 1948 from all nations around the world), and they shall dwell safely all of them.

Thats your understanding, not mine.

God just knows whats going to happen, thats why he gave us prophecy.

God wants all people to come to him.

But are we interpreting his prophecies correctly? Hmm.

Sure God wants all people to come to him but the Third Temple observes the Old Covenant not the New Covenant.

Wouldn't the Third Temple possibly strengthen and reinforce the Jewish blindness and hardness to the Gospel?

Because the Third Temple is where the antichrist will proclaim himself God.

No human has ever had full control over the world, but this man is going to achieve it.

This is already been foretold by God, because while he gives us free will, he also already knows whats going to happen.

Forget being a labeled any one type of Christian and read your Bible, its all in there.

The Third Temple according to 1 John 2:22 is an Anti-Christ in of its self. It denies Jesus is the Christ and Messiah of the Jews.

Its very nature, I mean. With its Old Covenant orders and observances.
