  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Ok, so you guy's do realise that theres a difference between the term 'catholic' as used by those early theologians of the first 3 centuries after the apostles up until the time of the roman catholic church, right?

Early Catholocism = Lutheranism

Later Catholocism = Let me call in some help?

Ok, just so theres no confusion.

I don't know of many that received Biblcial Truth without first going through shock and confusion; nowever, here, no confusion and especially no shock.

New RCC = faith formed by love?

Old RCC = faith?

Just throwing this out there,

For a while Christians were still worshiping in the Temple of God.

Luk 24:51 And it came to pass, while he (Jesus) blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
Luk 24:52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
Luk 24:53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

The Greek for "temple" in this verse is G2411, or hieron (entire temple)

Usually I awaken to depressing fallacious tugging and pulling with God's precious Word, and the precious Cross, ie, what a gift I received from you folks - the Word, and the Cross elevated right before my very eyes. Absolutely no sarcasm and my usual rhetoric.

Soli Deo Gloria

Sagacious sage on stage before the heavenly's host

 and  over my brothers, ie, back to the grind,

Im more of a "Solus Christus" kind of chap.

And since Christ is God, the phraseology embodies both Christ and God.

Win win eh?

I believe it is an anti-Christian act to raise the Third Temple.

Because there is no longer forgiveness of sins with the blood of animal sacrifices.

God does not dwell in the Temple but in us.

Or are you suggesting that God re-takeup residence in this Third Temple and the Levitical Priesthood once again minister unto us and mediate between us and God once again?

Im not saying anything mate, the Bible clearly says Christians were worshiping in the temple after Christ ascended.

If this is an "abomination" the Bible wouldnt glorify it as has here.

So let me get this straight, the Jews can build a Temple to the same God we worship, but we as Christians are forbidden from worshiping in it?

So what have we done? We built hundreds of thousands of our own "temples" and call them "churches" when in fact, they are not the church, as the church is the body of Christ.

Let any man here who condemns the Jews temple be known as a hypocrite.

Now, I disagree with the Jews as to "why" they are building the temple, but the temple itself is nothing more than a place to worship our God.

And the Jews do worship the same God we do.

I worship God, I have Christ as my testimony to Gods greatness, and I pray to God in the name of Christ, as commanded.

This was before the death and resurrection of Christ these verses you cite. Also it is before Pentecost too. Jesus spoke of himself being a temple. And that our bodies are the temples of God. Jesus is our high priest (no longer Aaronic/Levitical priesthood). Jesus is our sacrifice (no longer the blood of animals).

See what I am saying here. The old order is gone!

]This was before the death and resurrection of Christ these verses you cite[/b]..

You are lying.

Luk 24:50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.

Luk 24:51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he (Jesus Christ) was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

Luk 24:52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
Luk 24:53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

Christ was carried up into heaven, that means he was born, died, rose from the dead, and ascended to heaven.

THEN, the Christians who witnessed this, returned to Jerusalem and worshiped God in the Temple.

If you try and say anything else, you are calling the Bible, Gods Holy Word, a lie.

The Bible doesnt say the Christians were sacrificing animals, it says they were worshiping God in the temple.

Luk 24:53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

You can pretend all you want that Christians, blessed by Christ himself, didnt worship in the temple, but you are wrong.

So very wrong.

But the primary function of the temple foremost was sacrifices!

Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.

Take your argument to God, for he has spoken.

Do I deny Christ? Not possible, Jesus Christ is the living God, the son of God, and the salvation of those who profess him.

Doesnt change the fact that Christians still were allowed to worship God in the temple.

Building the Third Temple is an act of denying Christ. And it confines God back into the Temple substituting the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in ALL believers and resurrects the old order of things with a Levitical Priesthood substituting Jesus and animal sacrifices substituting Jesus.

The Temple is just a building, the Jews deny Christ without the temple. Need proof? Go to the Holy Land of Jerusalem, find a Jew and ask them if they profess the name of Jesus Christ. They will laugh at you, and our Lords Holy Name.

Your argument is waning.

Besides a remnant in the world. But what is the significance of Temple to Christians? Remember the Gospel was first preached to the Jews than secondly to the Gentiles. Jews are just as accountable to Jesus as Gentiles are.

A Third Temple is simply a NATIONAL act of denying Christ and resuming the order of the Old Covenant.

What is the significance of a Church building to a Christian?

Why do Christians condemn the Jewish Temple, built to worship the same God we do, but think its ok to build there own temples?

God doesnt care about WHERE you worship him, I just hope Christians figure that out.

There are far more Christian "temples" where Christians worship God, than there are temples of God in Jerusalem.

Christians are hypocrites for condemning yet another place of worship for our God, like our Temples are special.

You really are afraid of that temple going up arent you.
