Has not Jesus told us how to do that? And have I not told you already to do what Paul and Silas did (Acts 16:22-26).

Brother, I see that you claim to be a Christian your whole life. Have you not followed Christ faithfully? Hebrews 5:12 > For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God.

Examine yourselves and determine your walk with Christ. If you have genuinely given yourselves to Christ and received Him then you ought to be reaping the fruits of the Spirit by now. But you lack faith and still grumbling. A saved man will embrace all suffering but you seek ways to escape leading yourself to failure and hopelessness. You do not reflect the temple of the Holy Spirit. You need to lay it all down and take the yoke of Christ that you may find rest for your soul.

Let me ask you this. Does giving and receiving gifts bring you joy? How about receiving much better things in exchange for small things. If you have truly given your body, mind, and heart to Jesus and received Him, then it would bring you never ending joy.

For instance, I hear that you want a gf. How have you given this desire of yours to Jesus? If you did give it to Him, why are you still fighting it on your own?

May I encourage you to trust Him and seek His glory. Keep praying and meditating on the word of God until it transforms your mind and the Word becomes flesh in you. You will find strength to overcome all things and wisdom that brings success.

I wish I knew what I had to do. I just spin my wheels. Nothing works.

If the cultural and economic changes didn't occur over the last 50 years and our culture still hung on to the old standards for marriage and family, it would be less of an issue especially for men. Now that these shifts did occur and marriage is broken as an institution, what options are left? Its like suffering for years and years for a healing that might not even come or just come in a radically different thing that can't be comprehended at all.

I'd like to think God has some console for those who are struggling like me that is not just "Don't worry, you'll love everyone and you'll be happy" or any other stock or platitude kind of remark. If not, then frankly God may not be as worthy of praise and worship as many Christians believe he is.

I blame the Internet & online dating.

I believe that answers your thread then. Would God be pleased to give a gf to a man who is wasting his life? How would that get you a gf? It's not attractive. Brother, you've wrong reasons. It's not good to lay a foundation on sinking sand. A relationship at this time would only bring you more disappointment in the end. You asked for advice. Fear God and sin no more.

I’ve already told you. Others here also said what you must do. I’m afraid for you brother. It seems to me you have become dull of hearing. Hebrews 5:11. Thanks for allowing me to explain. I tried to help. It is hard to explain at this point.

There are three ways bible recommends to help and save others. I believe it does help you with your dreams in a way.

1. Gently teach and lead by example. If not obeying then do step 2.
2. Discipline with a rod. Still not obeying, then go for step 3.
3. Purge and give over to the hand of the enemy.

Now God has been more patient with you. I'm not in a position to discipline you with a rod.

Be content in your current situation because it could get even worse.

Life is not a checklist. A nice home, a nice car, financial stability, a nice wife.

Just be very very thankful if you have one or two because you could lose it all. That you are in control of your life is an illusion. If anyone really can control their lives they'd live forever, they'll be immortal. But there's none.
