You are looking at this from just "today".....I have been watching this site for a few months now....and there are more things that have happened in just the last week that aren't reflected here. I've been keeping a log of them.

05/03/07 - Bangladesh 70,000 chickens destroyed because they were determined to be infected with bird flu.

05/03/07 - India... outbreak of malaria

05/03/07 Floods in Columbia.....Syria....Turkey

05/03/07 Peru .... overpopulation of bats...some suspected to carry rabies

05/02/07 - Hungary frost.....almost full destruction of apricot growth and affecting all other fruit crops there

05/01/07 - Heat Wave in India

04/17/07 - Fiji outbreak of typhoid fever ... 100 cases....thousands at risk

The only "point" about freezing temps being SO LATE in so many places this spring, is that it has caused our fruit crops to be VERY adversely affected. There are going to be MAJOR shortages of fruit crops this year due to the devastating damage of 7 nights of below freezing temps in certain areas of the U.S. last month. The extreme low temps are NOT warned about in the Bible (that I know about)... however......the AFFECTS of it can be part of what we read in the Bible about famine in Matt.24:7 and Mark 13:8 and Luke 21:11.

Just my thoughts and "take" on this subject.

Zech. 6 shows the endtime rising of the nation of Iraq / as the north country.

Add in that Deuteronomy 32:34 speaks of sealed and that Moses was referring to a nation for the end.

I'm afraid you may have misunderstood me. There are several things that make the date Dec. 21 2012 special it is the winter solstice for one. It is also the end of the progression of solstices. It also marks the alignment of the sun with the galactic plane. It is the end of a 26000 year cycle. Whether that means anything I don't know. I'm certainly not saying it does mean anything, so i'm not sure what beliefs your referring to. I personally think anyone looking to pagans for answers needs to rethink his beliefs.

Not like that. there is nore than one way to cross the other side than wooshing across the galaxy. If you took a piece of cardboard, put a frisby on it, and cut around the frisby, then put another frisby on the bottom, you would have a sandwich with the cardboard center. You would also have a model of the galaxy with the cardboard being the galactic plane. 2012 marks the suns alignment with that center plane. when we cross that plane we will move to the other side of that center plane thus crossing to the other side of the milkyway. or the other frisby we oscillate as we revolve, so that we cross that center plane every now and then.

For the same reason we pick December 31st as the end date for the Gregorian calendar. The Mayans had many calendars, some shorter than ours, some longer; the one ending in 2012 just happens to be their longest. In Mayan thought, time does not have a beginning or an end; everything is cyclical.

Wouldnt it be cool the the Mayan had worked out thats when our solar system had done a full circle around the centre of the Milky Way or something of the sort. And in another 432423 (random number)years we will do another complete circle.

I think the Mayans did do something like this. They predicted that the world would go through a transitional phase and they also predicted lunar eclipses 1,000 ahead of their time. Maybe we could combined the biblical prophecies and Mayan prophecies to find the true End of times.
