Sigh. I'm just not that excited about the 10 C. I so deeply feel that the law is now written on our hearts, and that our greatest challenge is living out the summary of the law that our Lord gave us, which is much harder than the 10 c anyhow. But I also love you guys so here are all the blessing I have right now: 165
I couldn't agree more.
However, the actual Ten Commandments are not the really important issue here.
Sure, it's gonna be great when we get them and add themn to the character. But the things that I get excited about, and I hope you can get excited about as well, is the fellowship we are getting out of the appeal.
It's helping us within STR to work together as a team, it's helping us to make new friends outside STR, it's bringing people from all sections of CF together as one body to work towards a common purpose.
In short it's doing what Jesus told us to do when He said we must love one another as He has loved us.
It's counteracting those within CF who promote division and disunity, the hard liners who want nothing to do with anyone or anything that differs in any way from their own doctrine.
The aim of CF is to unite all Christiuans as one body. By bringing together Anglicans, Roman Catholics, Pentecostals, Methodists, Baptists, Salvationists, Messianics, and countless others, including those with no faith (at present), we are really making that aim a reality.
So, if you can't get excited about what we are saving for, then that's cool. But get excited about what we are achieving by saving for them.

Becuase that is worth far more than anything the armoury will ever have for sale.
