Sigh. I'm just not that excited about the 10 C. I so deeply feel that the law is now written on our hearts, and that our greatest challenge is living out the summary of the law that our Lord gave us, which is much harder than the 10 c anyhow. But I also love you guys so here are all the blessing I have right now: 165

Why does the 1611 bank character say "kids not allowed"?

I think you may be seeing something that only mods see, which applies to members that are under-age.

 I am getting my foot stuck in my mouth a lot lately

I thought maybe it had something to do with the "Child Free" posts that have been appearing on other forums :D

another 5k...this is pathetic.

Thank You Gen.

It's far from pathetic. Even at our current rate we are going better than the Semper guys on their appeal.

Problem is we have been kinda spoiled a bit lately.

It has been going so amazingly well that when we settle down to a more reasonable level, it seems like we are doing badly.

We're not, it just seems that way.

I couldn't agree more.

However, the actual Ten Commandments are not the really important issue here.

Sure, it's gonna be great when we get them and add themn to the character. But the things that I get excited about, and I hope you can get excited about as well, is the fellowship we are getting out of the appeal.

It's helping us within STR to work together as a team, it's helping us to make new friends outside STR, it's bringing people from all sections of CF together as one body to work towards a common purpose.

In short it's doing what Jesus told us to do when He said we must love one another as He has loved us.

It's counteracting those within CF who promote division and disunity, the hard liners who want nothing to do with anyone or anything that differs in any way from their own doctrine.

The aim of CF is to unite all Christiuans as one body. By bringing together Anglicans, Roman Catholics, Pentecostals, Methodists, Baptists, Salvationists, Messianics, and countless others, including those with no faith (at present), we are really making that aim a reality.

So, if you can't get excited about what we are saving for, then that's cool. But get excited about what we are achieving by saving for them.:) Becuase that is worth far more than anything the armoury will ever have for sale.

If we can raise a further 40k by Sunday, this weeks interest will take us through 1 million.

If we do that, then I reckon we should have another Andy Challenge next week some time.

been a while since we did.

Hi higgs.

Sorry if I sounded a bit preachy just then. It's just that I get so excited about seeing so many people from so many denominations, all working together on something.
I didn't think you sounded preachy at all :) We'd still be trying to get the KJV if it weren't for you

 hey nic!

I wasn't implying that it was pathetic in terms of the amounts, I meant in terms of the people donating...we had an average of around 15 people donating every week for the bible...where's everyone now?

the showing of people donating is pathetic, not the donations in general.

A lot of people are busy mod training at the moment.

What we need to do is have a PR campaign and spread the word to as many people as possible.

Frankly I don't care if they come here and give us 5 blessings, or even none. As long as they get involved by visiting the thread and supporting us.
