• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Then quote the KJV and let's take a look.

Don't give me that "Lord" stuff.

For instance, you quoted:
Whereas the KJV quotes it:
See the difference?

And before you ask what difference it makes, qv:

Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

That was Jesus, being called "the child killing angel."

^_^ So, you know that you've been defeated at this point. You're just in denial. The only difference is capital -ORD. It's the same word with the same exact meaning. You are so frustratingly and blatantly obtuse and dishonest, and you've just demonstrated it again.

If that really makes a contextual difference, then you're reading the wrong version of the bible. There's no such thing as the KJV... you should refer to the King James Version instead.

Well, continue on with your antichrist rant.
Well, first of all, I did comment on it when you first mentioned it. The fact that you ignored what I said and parroted out your unsupported statistic implied that your typing Tourette's is still afflicting you. So, I felt it best not to upset you by pointing out that your record was stuck in the same groove.

However, your response here gives me pause. I could chalk it up to your Tourette's what with the "antichrist" label being one of your favorites. I could then hold you blameless, since it is a genetic problem. I'm not sure, though. It seems like a way to avoid replying to our remarks.

Of course, I could just say "Here comes the 'Yer of Satan' distraction".

A person who doesn't hold a belief rationally cannot be expected to defend it rationally -- religious thought is a source of security, and when that security is threatened in any way, people tend to lash out.
