Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What do you like about the singles forum?

I enjoy the study of human character, and this place is a goldmine for just such an endeavor. I also like to see all of the different perspectives on all the various topics that get discussed here; I've learned alot, and it's made life a little more richer as a result.

If you could live your life all over again, would you?

The first 20 or so years of my life were not a happy time, so no.

If you had a time travel machine, would you go to the past or future?

I would travel all the way back to the beginning and chop down the tree of knowledge.

Imagine that.

coffee or tea? Tea.

if you could be dazzingly clever, angelically good, or mind numbingingly good looking, which one would you choose and why?

But mina, I already am all of those things. j/k :D

But seriously, Ecclesiastes talks about how more knowledge just leads to more sorrow, so that rules that one out.

The realm of physical beauty is one that I think women should have a monopoly on. It is the thing that I think women should be in the spotlight for or be admired about. A man shouldn't put much stock in his looks; I think it's more important for him to put the emphasis on developing his character and stature in the world. So, ixnay on that.

Angelically good it is. :holy:

If you were offered an all expense paid vacation to any foreign overseas country, which would you choose?

If you had to choose between being deaf, blind or dumb for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Apples or oranges?

Ireland fo' sho.'

If you had to choose between being deaf, blind or dumb for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I'd choose deafness, since with already having the knowledge of how to speak properly, it would be the easiest of the three to overcome.

Apples or oranges?

Oranges.

I love that story. I've only gotten through the book once (what is it, like 1400 pages??) but it's on my list to re-read. Have you seen the movie with Uma Thurman and Claire Danes? If so, what did you think of the casting? Do you think it did the book justice?

Hmm, don't think I've ever seen that one. Would you recommend it?

Oh, yes. I think it's brilliant. Of course, I'm sure that it doesn't follow the book scene for scene, but I think that it captures the overall story and aura very well. To me, it was cast perfectly, except for grown up Cosette. Claire Danes did a great job, she's just not how I'd pictured her.

That story is one of those that I'm always getting something new out of. The last time I watched the movie, I was overwhelmed about how one of the main themes is grace, and how those who know anything about it have had it extended to themselves.
