• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What would you like to accomplish within the next 5 years?

I had a drill sergeant for a father, who was more concerned about how I "presented" to the rest of the world than about having an actual relationship with me, and who pretty much had my life all planned out for me until about age 25. Things I still very much resent to this day. So on that note, I'm not a planner, and never will be. I live in the here and now, one day at a time.

◘ When you look at others what to you see?
○ When others look at you, do you think they see Christ in you?
◘ How important is life to you?
○ Who does God want you to be that you have not been, and what does God want you to do that you have not done?
◘ Could you live a life surrendering all you have and all you are so others can benefit without you ever knowing about the outcome of your giving?

◘ When you look at others what to you see? Mostly, alot of fear and confusion, but there are those rare occasions when I catch a glimmer of light.
○ When others look at you, do you think they see Christ in you? Probably not yet but I'm working on it.
◘ How important is life to you? It's everything.
○ Who does God want you to be that you have not been, and what does God want you to do that you have not done? HINT: "The Catcher in the Rye."
◘ Could you live a life surrendering all you have and all you are so others can benefit without you ever knowing about the outcome of your giving?

I think in today's world, that concept would end up becoming an oxymoron. For starters, whoever would do such a thing would immediately stand out, because in modern times, such a thing is completely unheard of. Second, with as widespread and intrusive as the media is, no matter how much a person might humble themselves in the act of surrendering their life, it's ultimately going to gain them ALOT of attention because of the novelty, so in essence, I think they would become a celebrity whether they liked it or not.

Because of this, I honestly don't think that a modern day Ghandi would be able to carry out his/her task under the shroud of total anonymity while having not even the slightest inkling of the effects of his/her efforts.

How often do you work out? 3 times a week.
What does your work out schedule look like?

Day 1: Back/Biceps/Quads
Day 2: Shoulders/Triceps/Hamstrings
Day 3: Chest/Abs/Calves

The excercises themselves are constantly varied.

◘ Would you accept $1,000,000 to leave the country and never set foot in it again? Why or why not?
○ If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one ability or quality, what would it be? Why?
◘ If you could choose how you die, how would it be?
○ Would you be willing to murder an innocent person if it would end hunger in the world? Would it torment you more to have the blood of an innocent person on your hands or to know you let millions of people die from hunger?
◘ If you were to die today with no opportunity to communicate with anyone, what would you most regret not having told someone? Why haven't you told them yet?

I have never read "The Catcher in the Rye".... :sorry:

If you won $1,000,000 what would you do with it?

What are your thoughts on the state of public schools?

What are your thoughts on private schools?

What are you thoughts on homeschooling?

What are your three main sources of news? (be specific, don't say tv - say what network, don't say newspaper - say what newspaper, don't say internet - say what site....)

◘ Would you accept $1,000,000 to leave the country and never set foot in it again? Why or why not? No, for two reasons:

1. $1,000,000 won't get you very far in today's economy.
2. The world is becoming a much unfriendlier, unhospitable place for Americans. Especially after the Iraq War pt. II.
○ If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one ability or quality, what would it be? I need more "gravitas."
Why?
It's an absolute necessity for any good leader.
◘ If you could choose how you die, how would it be?
Taking a bullet for my family.
○ Would you be willing to murder an innocent person if it would end hunger in the world?
Two wrongs don't make a right. So no.
Would it torment you more to have the blood of an innocent person on your hands or to know you let millions of people die from hunger?
Innocent blood.

While I may have the ability to control whether I kill one person, only God has the ability to control the fate of millions, let alone via the means by which their lives are ended. I'm not powerful enough to "let" anyone die of hunger.
◘ If you were to die today with no opportunity to communicate with anyone, what would you most regret not having told someone?
I would probably most regret not having the opportunity to tell everyone in my life 'goodbye' and that I love them all.
Why haven't you told them yet?
Obvious reasons.

If you won $1,000,000 what would you do with it?

The first 10% would go to God.

Then I'd probably build a house, (maybe even do a little real estate "flipping" for a few years), and invest the rest of it in mutual funds.

What are your thoughts on the state of public schools?

Severely underfunded. I'm also not really fond of them making student performance, (graduation rate), a contingency for how much funding a school does get. If a school already struggles to keep its students' GPA's at the national academic standard, is giving them even LESS money supposed to magically reverse this trend?

What are your thoughts on private schools?

After having attended one myself for three years, I honestly didn't see any difference in the quality of education I received there as opposed to a public school.

What are you thoughts on homeschooling?

It deprives a child of all the real-world lessons in "street smarts" that can only come from interacting with the unsympathetic masses.

What are your three main sources of news? (be specific, don't say tv - say what network, don't say newspaper - say what newspaper, don't say internet - say what site....)

CNN
Yahoo! News
"Real Time" with Bill Maher (To keep up with the more secular viewpoint on things.)

What makes you angry?

When people refuse to treat others with a basic sense of dignity. Like if somebody were to display the attitude, "I'm sorry, I can't associate with you because you're just too far beneath me."
