Because it's interesting how you ignore the group of domestic terrorists who share your politics and go after the ones who don't. I think the word I'm looking for is, "hypocritical".What's more interesting is why you and others think they're the most important thing to talk about in a thread about certain people's difficulties in saying that white supremacists are bad.
I don't think anything here or elsewhere is 'good' for Obama. Perhaps Yahweh will permit Obama to repent and be saved ? THAT would be GOOD! (ETERNALLY!)Good for Obama. At least he's not silent about Trump.
I"m going to go out on a limb and say that the standing army of germany probably killed a bit more people than the anarchist did.Want to compare the body count of Nazis versus antifa?
Given that these people don't identify themselves as part of the German National Socialist party you seem confused. Do you think people who identify themselves as Antifa are also precluded from being good people? It would seem to me that identifying as a Nazi precludes you from any chance of being considered a "good person".
Ringo
Some people do. (none presently referred to in this thread though, obviously)Some people really don't like it when you point out their heroes are hypocrites.

I realize this is a very hard concept for some folks to get but... it is possible to be a white nationalist without being a Nazi.Moving those goalposts. "Well, if you don't directly associate with the German National Socialist party, you're not really a Nazi....even if you chant about Jews 'not replacing us' and carry swastikas!"
Yeah I bet it just hurts your heart that the president also said that Antifa had good people in it too.The Bible told us there'd be times like these: "call evil good and good evil" and all that.
Ringo

Only for the intellectually dishonest.Distinction without a difference.
And now your just flat out lying. At the same news conference where he made this comment about the driver:Oh you sure got me. Gee...that makes it totally OK that the president called the person who ran over Heather Heyer, and the others who enabled him, "good people"!
Again, that thing about intellectual honesty.I think the driver of the car is a disgrace to himself, his family and this country. And that is – you can call it terrorism, you can call it murder. You can call it whatever you want. I would just call it as the fastest one to come up with a good verdict. That’s what I’d call it. And there is a question. Is it murder? Is it terrorism? Then you get into legal semantics. The driver of the car is a murderer, and what he did was a horrible, horrible, inexcusable thing.
You do have the eye for propagandizing, don't you? Ignore the definition of words and apply them as you wish as long as you can use it to paint people how you want. The length you'll go to excuse this behavior says an awful lot about your character...or the lack of it.

As you wish Miss. Please proceed, governor.
In what way was he "cajoled" into making that statement? He had to be cajoled into even that statement, which should have been the easiest in the world to make. Some tower of moral strength we have occupying the Oval Office.
Nope, they've never made any bones about who they are. They are degenerate white nationalist.Again: please specify. I'd love to hear how I'm "ignoring the definition of words" when these people who marched in Charlottesville never made any bones about who they are and what they believe.

The "fine people" comment and the comment I quoted above both come from the exact same press conference.Did he not have to be dragged, kicking and screaming, into finally holding a press conference on Charlottesville? A good president would have denounced the Nazis who marched there right away. Donny 'good people on both sides' waited until something like 3 or 4 in the afternoon, a few hours after Heather was killed.
One are members of the German National Socialist Party and the others believe in the superiority of their race. That both of the groups believe that they were superior because of their race doesn't make both groups Nazis. Just like all ducks are birds, not all birds are ducks.I agree that they're degenerate, but I'm specifically asking what you mean when you say that white nationalist != Nazi.

What are you even talking about?Oh, so you've finally come to the conclusion that they were actually there?
Which group shares my politics? Citation, please. Or stop making stuff up. Either one works.Because it's interesting how you ignore the group of domestic terrorists who share your politics and go after the ones who don't.

You're complaining about a few hours? If he'd made a statement right after the event you'd be telling us how he was grandstanding and using the woman's death to make himself look better.Right...the one he did hours after the event itself, where his supporters marched on Charlottesville chanting "Jews will not replace us".
I remember the day quite well. For a long time there was no word from the "president" until, finally, he was ambushed at Trump tower and issued his equivocating "both sides" statement.
I hadn't defending any of these people. Also your argument, "walks like a duck etc" is the same one used by people who call democrats socialist, communist and Stalinists and such. Calling people what they are isn't "splitting hairs, it's honesty.Oh. So it's really just splitting hairs over semantics. At least you don't seem to be trying to defend Jason Kessler types.
I mean....if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck....does it matter whether it identifies as a duck?
