I stumbled upon these articles while scrolling through a friends facebook page. It will take some time to read both but I am curious to everyones thoughts. It does make good sense to me what the articles are getting at:

What are your thoughts on these below? True? False? And please try to read them fully instead of ignoring them and posting.

“Herd Immunity.” The flawed science and failures of mass vaccination, Suzanne Humphries, MD | International Medical Council on Vaccination

Theres also this (starting with the post at the top):

They are idiots. Twice over idiots.

They claim some great natural immunity if you catch a disease naturally and they do it in the context of chickenpox!

    Hello!!!

Do they even know what Shingles is? It seems they do but are so brain dead that they DO NOT realize it is caused by the same virus as chickenpox and that it is a major health risk for adults who had chickenpox as children.

I did not notice any explanation for just why they think smallpox, rubella, polio and several other diseases once common are now rare, though it seems sadly growing because other idiots listen to these idiots.

If it wasn't for the fact that some kids are immune-compromised and can't get vaccinated, I would be more than happy to sit back and let natural selection take its course here.

The anti vaccers make my blood boil. Absolute idiots.

The Australian vaccination network was recently forced to change their name because they were anti vac and made themselves appear to be educators. Absolute idiots.

I'd be quite happy to have an insurance exclusion for any unvaccinated person who the disease in question (with exceptions when medically valid reasons exist to not vaccinate) except that it would be the kids who pay even more for their parents stupidity.

    The articles are false.

Smallpox was declared as officially eradicated globally in 1979. It only exists in two labs in the world, iirc (the CDC in Atlanta and in Moscow). This was done through targeted vaccination programs worldwide.

Vaccinations do way more good than harm. In fact, they can prevent diseases that are very much preventable in the majority of people. I'm happy to say that I've recently gotten all of my vaccinations up to date, and my titers came back positive on those I didn't need. I just have one more Hep B shot to go.

I would have agreed with you up until a few years ago. All of my children have all of their mandatory vaccinations by the way so I'm not an antivaccinator as it were. I do however have concerns about the safety, the wisdom, and the need for all the vaccines we get. I would most likely never have even considered questioning it but for the fact of the controversy surrounding the anthrax vaccine that was being given to U.S. troops in the early 2000's. We were told its safe don't worry, those who are concerned about it are just trouble makers, turns out after having five of the twelve required dose the DOD decided it wasn't safe. I got five injections of a vaccine that might not be safe, for what? I would never judge another person who decided not to get vaccinated or decided not to vaccinate their children. The chickenpox vacccine, what do we know about it, it prevents a disease that in children is almost never fatal, in adults however it is quite serious, what if the immunity given by it is not permanent like smallpox, then as an adult you happen to get chicken pox, that would be most regrettable, shingles although a nussiance and very painful is also rarely ever fatal and easily controlled.
I those who have blind faith in the government and the medical industrial complex deserve whatever comes their way as a result.

The only time I ever contracted the flu was by way of a flu vaccination.

    100% safe? Certainly not.

How do you know the vaccine gave you the flu?

Because I developed symptoms the same night, in concert with a strong allergic reaction, and my doctor told me that it was because of the vaccination. He could have been wrong, of course...

You do realize that's why you're supposed to get boosters? They'll check your titers and if they come back negative you need a booster.

Well for one, if your flu like symptoms weren't due to your allergic reaction, disease doesn't show itself that fast usually. You were probably unlucky and were already infected before you got the shot, unless it was mega bad flu that year. It usually takes around 2 or 3 days to show symptoms.
