  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is it appropriate to use the Tetragrammaton (YHWH) to refer to the whole Trinity?

My "Bible Church" non-denominational background suggests that it is. All three of them (God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit) are YHWH. To suggest otherwise is to imply that Jesus or the Holy Spirit is not God. However, it seems that there is another view that YHWH refers only to God to...

Spirit Filled Believers Are Eternally Secure

The NT's Trinitarian Structure Makes Loss of Salvation Impossible It begins with the irreversible saving actions of the Triune God - the Son's justifying Holy Spirit baptism, the Father's legal declaration of righteousness in Christ & the Holy Spirit's FOREVER indwelling, sealing & guaranteeing...

    Can the Father cry?

I originally posted this in an alternate forum but it was not the right place for it. I am keen on an answer though as I am genuinely mystified how this notion that the Father God could feel pain should be so controversial that it would be called a heresy (Patripassianism). Since the usage of...

The Proof of The Crucifixion Cross!!!

The Crucifixion timeline forms a perfect cross on a modern clock when Jewish & Roman times are aligned. This alignment between the Crucifixion Timeline and the Time Clock is a strikingly precise match. The 3rd Hour (3) → 9:00 AM → Right Side of the Horizontal Beam According to Mark 15:25...

    Singularity of God

The Singularity of God Godhead (means Magistrative Leadership of the Omnipotent Being) Act 17:29 For as much then as we (Christians) are the offspring (descending Family) of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device (a...

Who changed the adventist.org website for the Trinity doctrine?

Who is behind the adventist.org website, and who decides its language with respect to Adventist "fundamental beliefs"? Why did the language change for the Trinity doctrine sometime between November 28, 2023 and January 10 of this year? To see the old version of the site, one may visit a...

ThisDogDoneGone is one of Jesus' most loyal supporters and a firm believer in Scripture and communing with Jesus rather than God when praying. As a Lutheran, I believe in the Trinity, but with a personal challenge that has made life nearly unliveable for me, as I could not use the word "God" in...

    Real Faith

The Angel of The Lord and Jesus Christ (Trinitarianism in the OT)

I have spent a bunch of time compiling many of the passages that speak about The Angel of The Lord. Reading these has left me in awe many times and I'm so grateful that our Lord God Christ is shown so clearly. These are all of the passages that through Bible Dictionaries and cross referencing I...

    What does John 14:1 mean

John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. On the surface this would seem that Jesus is making a distinction between Himself and God. Yet I believe that tha t He himself is God Almighty, the Son of God, God incarnate. Any thoughts as to how “also” can be an...

One God in Three Persons, Blessed Trinity

So in the Bible we see - Deut 6:4 - One God Matt 28:19 - in Three Persons. My main question is about that two step definition 1. ONE God 2. In THREE Persons. does your definition of "Trinity" - your denomination's definition of the term - include both of those aspects??? So then using that...

    Scotus on The Trinity

"What is common in creatures is not really one in the way in which what is common is really one in the divine. For there the common is singular and indivisible because the divine nature itself is of itself a “this.” And it is plain that with creatures no universal is really one in that way. For...

On The Proper Names Of The Trinity

In response to a member who erroneously suggested Jesus Christ was the name of the Trinity, I replied with the following Triadological and Christological treatise: YHWH is God, Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The names of the Son are the Only-Begotten, Firstborn of All Creation (although He is...

Implications that “it pleased the Father” for “all the fullness” to dwell in Jesus (Col. 1:19, NKJV)

Colossians 1:19 states (NKJV): For it pleased [the Father that] in Him all the fullness should dwell. Now, the New King James Version supplies "the Father," but to my knowledge, most understand the Father as the one referred to here. In saying "it pleased the Father" that "all the fullness"...

How can Jesus be Man and God?

Jesus is man and God. He has the nature of both eternal deity and mortal humanity which makes it possible for Jesus to be the way we can connect with God and experience heaven with earth. The virgin birth is what unites the two natures into the person of Jesus Christ (Matt 1:18). Fulfilling...

    Studying the Trinity

Hello Everyone, it's been a while since I've logged on, but I'm so glad to be back! Recently I've began to study the Trinity. Just to give some background: I grew up in a movement that did not embrace the doctrine of the Trinity. So recently, I began to explore this doctrine, as what I was...
