  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Can Christians live a holy life?

Can Christians live a holy life? Note: I am not asking this question because I doubt that a believer can live a holy life. I do believe that a believer can live holy by God's power (Thereby giving Him the glory); My question is asked so as to see what Christians today say about this kind of...

Faith "of" Christ Vs Faith "in" Christ

Faith begins with & is worthless without, Christ's Faith as the foundation: Heb 12: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Battling sin vs. Justifying sin (An explanation on 1 John 3:6, and 1 John 3:9).

Battling sin vs. Justifying sin: (An explanation on 1 John 3:6, and 1 John 3:9): Modern Translations will say practice sin or continue in sin in 1 John 3:9 (as if to say it is talking exclusively of practicing sin), but this is not the case in the trusted KJV (that existed hundreds of years...

Hi guys, I'd love to hear opinions on this article - My Plea: Recognize Theosis The reason why comes in the form of a question. Question: Do you think 'theosis' pops up in different forms throughout Christianity, and throughout the ages, because the Holy Spirit is the one behind it? Or, the...

    The Standard

The Greek word stauros means ‘stake’, ‘pole’ or ‘post’; but it is always translated ‘cross’ in the New Testament. When a banner or image is attached to a pole, it becomes a standard. This is the imagery from the Old Testament that Yeshua uses to teach on His purpose. John 3:14, 15. And as Moses...

    Struggling to Love God

Hey, everyone-- First time posting, and I'm a bit nervous. I was raised in a Christian household and have gone to church most of my life. Now that I'm a young adult, I've become more evaluative of my place in the faith. Lifelong struggles with anxiety and insecurity have made this somewhat...

    Total Surrender

How do you guys repent of sin?

Everyone defines repentance as a change of mind towards sin where you no longer want to do things not pleasing to God. I feel like I just can't achieve this mind frame. On one hand, I feel God has delivered me from a lot of things. I am no longer involved in gang life, I have let go of the...
