  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    A Complete Turnabout

2 Peter 3:8-9 ESV “But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all...

I believe only a few Christians will go to Heaven

I wrote this about 15 years ago and still believe it. Years of reading the bible has raised questions inside of me if I am going to heaven when I die. For instance look at this in Luke 13: 23Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, 24Strive to enter in...

    Faithful to the End

Psalms 42:1-3 ESV “As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? My tears have been my food day and night, while they say to me all the day long, “Where is your God?” I...

    Make Your Choice

Don’t Be Idolaters Psalm 16:4 ESV “The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply; their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out or take their names on my lips.” The New Testament speaks often on the subject of idolatry, and of its consequences. In 1 Co 5:11 the...

    Return Ye Unto God

The Israel of the Old Covenant is different from the Israel of the New Covenant in that they were God’s people by natural birth, whereas we are God’s children by spiritual birth. But we were/are both saved the same way, by faith in Jesus Christ, the Messiah, via repentance and obedience and...

The WHOLE Bible view of "repentance": Easy believism VS Hard believism

Is repentance necessary for salvation? Many preachers define it as meaning “quitting sin”. As such, those preachers fall into 2 groups: Some preachers say that’s necessary for salvation and needs to be preached. Some preachers say that it’s not necessary for salvation and needs not to be...

    Are Works Essential?

Revelation 3:14-16 ESV “And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation. “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. How can I know if I'm born again?

I have always believed in God for as long as I could remember, but I don't ever remember having a life changing experience with him:a rapture dream, speaking in tongues, etc. Although I have heard him speak to me a few times and I have felt his presence once. I'm worried my prayers haven't been heard due to unintentional sin

I recently realised that I may have been unintentionally living in sin. I confessed, but I'm worried that it may have cut me off from the Lord. I know it says in the Bible that if you're living in sin your prayers won't be heard, and I'm worried that all my prayers of the past month won't have...
