  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Once-For-All

A believers salvation is eternally secure. Jesus calls the Father God (Jn 20:17, Matt 27:46 & Jn 17:3), the Father calls the Son God (Heb 1:8-9) & Paul calls the Son God (Rom 9:5) & Peter calls Holy Spirit God (Acts 5:3–4). The Human Condition & God's Rescue All have sinned (Rom 3:23) - sins...

Jesus' Mission - Peter' Sermon - Gentile Timeline

Gentile Status Before Acts 10 Gentiles were aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, strangers from the covenants, having no hope & living without God in the world (Eph 2:11–12). The Temple's middle wall of partition barred Gentiles from Israel's sacred courts, with DEATH WARNINGS for any...

    Faith/Works

Paul and James on Justification The book of James is one of the most important topics to cover when it comes to faith and works. James is believed by many people to contradict Paul, especially in the book of Romans, making the case that works are an essential component to be the evidence of...

Salvation is Faith Alone in Christ Alone Plus Nothing Minus Nothing Acts 13:39, Romans 3:19-28

Acts 13:39 “And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.” Plus nothing meaning you don't have to do anything to be saved, and minus nothing meaning you don't have to stop doing something to be saved (giving up all your sins...

    Justification by Faith

Rom 3: 21 But now the righteousness of God has been clearly revealed [independently and completely] apart from the Law, though it is [actually] confirmed by the Law and the [words and writings of the] Prophets. (MY NOTE: The righteousness of God is clearly revealed independently & completely...

Establishing the LAW of FAITH: Rom 3: 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. You Must Have Faith In God But Not necessarily A Big Faith

Today I feel the need to inspire my fellow Christians to stay strong in Jesus Christ. The year 2020 and 2021 has been very awful for the entire world. Not forgetting to mention the devastation this so-called Covid-19 has caused. I have always been awed by what faith can do for those who are in...

    Some Really Good News

Impute Theology: Google ascribe (righteousness, guilt, etc.) to someone by virtue of a similar quality in another. "Christ's righteousness has been imputed to us" It's Christ's righteousness (Jer 23:6 & 33:16) imputed/transferred (Rom 4:3-8) onto us & our sins are imputed/transferred onto...

Righteousness is a Gift from God.

Righteousness was achieved by & is received from our Great God & Savior, Jesus the Christ. The righteousness of Christ is an imputed gift. Given to NT believers when they place their faith in Christ's sin atoning work. Found in Jesus death, burial & resurrection. Rom 5:17 For if by one man's...

Faith alone is required for salvation & You're not under Mosaic law!

Ex 11:7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that "the LORD doth put a difference between the Nations and Israel". (MY NOTE: The LORD put a difference between all other 69 (Gen 10) Nations & Israel/His chosen...

Are we saved by faith alone, or something more?

"The gospel that Jesus proclaimed was a call to discipleship, a call to follow Him in submissive obedience, not just a plea to make a decision or pray a prayer. Jesus' message liberated people from the bondage of their sin while it confronted and condemned hypocrisy. It was an offer of eternal...

Antinomians to the Left of Me — Legalists to the Right

I had been away from this site for quite some time, and either forgotten what it was like or it's become much (doctrinally) worse than when I was last here. There are so many people here who don't have a grasp of the Gospel. It's breathtaking. There are plenty of legalists trying to save...

Does God Require Anything of Us in Order to be Saved?

Obviously this question is a fundamental question that every Christian should contemplate, but one that is also likely to draw out pat answers that are passed along without thinking much about it. I would like to respectfully ask that those who participate on this thread, first of all cast...

How Do you Define Sola Fide (Faith Alone) and is it Biblical?

I believe Sola Fide (Faith Alone, or Justification by Faith Alone without works) only is accurate to say when we first come to the Faith. It is also accurate in the sense that is the foundation upon which we build, as well (For if a believer stumbles into a sin, they have God's grace not as a...

    Romans and Faith Alone

First of all, it is clear that the verses here are talking about real Christians who were justified: "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1). "Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we...

    changed life of pagans

I know many know of the changes life doctrine to prove one is saved. I dont hold to that strictly but do think some changes happen. I don't have a rule for it but I think there is some change.
