  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

70th week

The GOALS of the SEVENTIETH WEEK are KEY TOPICS of the NEW TESTAMENT.

In my previous thread we have been dealing with the question, 'Is a contiguous count of Daniel's 70 weeks found in New Testament writings?' Here are links to key posts. My last example #5 is on this new thread because it is a topic in its own right. Its on the next post. 1. JOHN the BAPTIST...

[moved] Where does God's Wrath begin in Revelation?

Some people believe it will begin with the Day of His wrath at the 6th seal. Others say that is just the announcement: Wrath will begin at the 7th seal. (I need input!)

    The Preterist Gap

I’ve been somewhat surprised to learn that some Preterists finish Daniels 70th week in AD 70. They postulate a 40 year gap between the “cutting off of Messiah in the midst of the week” and the destruction of the temple in AD 70. We might expect this kind of theory from full Preterists, but it...

Why do Dispies count Daniels 'weeks' from Artaxerxes 20th year?

Admittedly, the twentieth-year start point for Daniel’s 70 weeks has had its supporters. Their problem though, is that a count of 483 years (69 x 7) from 444 BC comes to AD 40, a date which arrives well after Jesus died. So, proponents of the 444 BC terminus a quo resort to various 'short-year'...

Will Jesus return on the 1260th day from the abomination?

In Rev. 16:15 John wrote, 15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. The 7th vial will signal the end of the 70th week - the time of Jacob's trouble - and the "trib" as some say. Will Jesus return on this...

Book - Sealed with 7 Seals

John saw a book, sealed with 7 seals, in the Father's right hand. Over time, he saw Jesus ascended into the throne room and take the book and then begin breaking seals. This poses a problem: most people simply don't understand the purpose of the seals are to prevent anyone unauthorized from...

    God Speaks Again

After I found the midpoint that God had said was "clearly marked," I also found the beginning and the end of the week, again "clearly marked." God used the 7's as markers: the 7th seal begins the week, the 7th trumpet marks the midpoint, and the 7th vial ends the week. Next, God began...
