In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't know about that--there are quite a few people with Christian Nationalist aspirations in the Republican Party. Mike Johnson, for instance, and Pete Hesgeth and many more besides.

It is the business of all Americans. New York City, Bangor, Hamtramck, Dearborn, Portland, San Francisco, the Twin Cities--these are launching points for terrorism and destruction.

lol @ the conservatives in this thread clutching their pearls. Rick Scott ran the largest Medicare/Medicaid fraud in history and you all elected him governor and then senator. Oliver North sold guns to Iran so he could fund terrorists in Nicaragua and he’s been a commentator on Fox for years.

This woman won a seat on the city council of a town of 32,000 people.

Hesgeth belongs to a church associated with the CREC, Johnson is connected with the NAR and has public-ally denounced the idea of the separation of church and state. They are Dominionists without a doubt
