It aint conservatives pushing "hate speech" laws last I checked.....Communism is antithetical to the Constitution
But it certainly is conservatives pushing the idea that everyone they disagree with must be a communist.

Oh no...we conservatives have plenty of disagreements among us. I know Republicans that support taxation on income, abortion, and are vehemently opposed to an Article V Convention of States. Plenty of red voting folks who like the gun control we currently have and don't mind it. Oh no, sir...we have our differences indeed.

The equivocation is noted.

And government punishing people for association is fine and dandy. Got it.

(btw, I know why you have to say that -- if the GOP can go after MLB for daring to question them, they can crush you with a fraction of the effort.)

Define "punishment"...no longer allowing the MLB to act as a global monopoly on baseball?

You're forgetting how much the people of Denver will benefit from the game being moved there.
Sure, it's an ill-gotten gain for them, but the ethics of MLB disadvantaging the people of Atlanta and all others who had planned their trips and attendance and even prepaying for some of it is the bigger issue.

Then you tack on this gratuitous comment -- and all of this on the basis of a false claim that the legislation in question amounted to "voter suppression"
Well, that is fact. Therefore, it isn't out of place to mention it when assessing the wisdom and/or fairness of the rash decision made by major-league baseball in response to political pressure.

“What prompted this legislation being introduced was Major League Baseball’s decision to pull the All-Star Game out of Atlanta" -- Ted Cruz (R-TX)

If you're going to make excuses, at least you're better at it than the authors of the Bill. Perhaps you should work for them?

I haven't submitted any excuses for review yet. I simply asked a question.

MLB controls the WS.

Ugh. Apparently it's not penetrating. MLB does not have a global lock on baseball. Even these trust issues are more about limits within the organization on what the team owners can and can't do.

You already offered the excuse that it was because the MLB are communist fellow-travelers.

Cozying up with the CCP should warrant action, but idk that this is the best solution for that.

MLB controls the WS.
Which is limited to the US and one team in Canada. That doesn't even account for all the independent baseball leagues just in the US, nvm the large and popular leagues in countries like the Nippon Baseball League.

No argument there. Does the MiLB compete with advertising for MLB or vice versa?
