The question is, will it be seen, people dropping christianity like a hot potato.

Shutting down the churchs already shows how weak the church is. Will it (the church) go along quietly with the limiting of speech, i would think so.
Many Christians already have become lukewarm and view church as a source of family oriented socializing only. Much "fellowship" is reduced to small talk and aimless chit-chat for the most part...not all churches, but many. We NEED Christ! That fact seems to escape the conversations in church. Where is the rebuking, encouraging, speaking to one another in spiritual songs and psalms? GONE!??
With these weaknesses how will some survive their testing?!

I don't agree that equality is the dominant force in the West. Doing things in the name of equality is just an excuse to shove things down people's throat.

If equality was the dominant theme, then a slogan like Black Lives Matter would not fly, and instead All Lives Matter would be the dominant slogan, and as we can see, it is the reverse. All lives matter is offensive to the wokerati.

If we were TRULY striving for equality, then the only slogan that would fit would be All lives matter.

I think God's message RIGHT NOW going out from the Spirit is this.

The time has come that the only thing that matter is that you KNOW GOD and NOT just know about him. There is NO TIME to wallow around deceiving ourselves that we think knowing about God or even appreciating him is the same as KNOWING him with fellowship in the Spirit.

I personally don't think it will be much longer before we are openly killed or jailed for our beliefs. I always thought the United States would hold out longer but it's here already.
But a majority of Americans are Christians, and Congress is as well. So how do you see that unfolding?

Are you following the news? If so, you may not be seeing both sides of the news events or interpretations of the events depending on your sources.
The majority of Americans Christian? Used to be, the question in the survey is "Do you believe in God" I believe that is what is responded to. Many here have already commented on how soft and lukewarm the church is so their response that they are Christian does not mean they are educated in the Bible or really know God's ways so as to walk in them much less to make sound judgments.
Congress Christian? Can't be, not the majority of them. Congress is full of people now I fear that are simple after power and nothing good comes from that.
The founding fathers after the drafting of the Constitution said it would only work as long as the US was a moral people.

Hello brother and sister,
I am sad that this is happening. I thought we were protected from religous persecution within the constitution?

I only know of what is happening in the here and now. Perhaps a good election could change matters only God knows. It seems that either way the election goes we'll have trouble but perhaps we'll retain our rights...on paper at least. Many judges are more political than looking to uphold rights.
I certainly hold out hope that violence will be quelled...that which is now seen in the riots which may be funded by political operatives. Our other rights may not be fairly met.

1 Timothy 2:1-4 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Not only are we seeing Christianity being pushed out of society, we are also seeing the church being watered down. For example modern worship seems to be about thanking God for what He does for us. Any worship of who He is seems to be "out of fashion" and I cant really remember the last time I saw or attended a worship session where there was a period of declaring love for the Father or Jesus. We now have what I consider praise sessions without the worship.

As a result of this I think the church has become weaker and at the same time we are seeing the world become stronger. As such the church is easier to attack and be marginalised.

Preacher fined for homophobic sermon

Judge Qureshi told the preacher he seemed to enjoy testing the laws on free speech to their limits.

He said: "In my view he enjoys coaxing people into asking him questions so that he can reply loudly into the microphone to answer them.

"The only semblance of civilised conversation is when they commend him, if they disagree he shouts them down."

However, Overd had "double standards", the judge said, believing he was right and everyone else was wrong.

During sentencing he said Overd "does not display any scholarly approach to the topics but merely preaches whatever little he had learnt, regardless of being rude or bullying to others.

"He happily shouts out the negative points in any other religion."

...

A trial at Taunton Magistrates' Court heard many complaints had been received about comment made during Overd's sermons.

Mr Overd had faced two charges of using threatening and abusive words, and a third of causing racially or religiously aggravated harassment, alarm or distress.

Probably the first instance I've ever had where I actually agree with @Quartermaine . Definitely don't think there's any laws prohibiting Christians from doing anything in particular. The war seems to be on anyone who disagrees with democratic/liberal stances, not just Christians in particular--although there's been slight disdain towards Christians since the beginning of Christianity.

The same guy who (allegedly)was telling gay men that they would 'burn in hell' for their sins? I wonder--if a muslim came up to you on the streets telling you that you had to repent or Allah would send you to hell for your sins, would you not find that uncomfortable and perhaps even a little intimidating?

No. I’d give him the gospel.

Is this a sign of things that are on its way to the United States? Our values are being rejected and we have already seen the beating of a street preacher and church vandalism right here on our soil. Other countries are already dealing with these issues and Christians aren't winning.

Breitbart puts out a lot of propaganda. Since Christianity is not about attacking homosexuality, Christianity is not under attack. But when you say the Christians aren't winning? How exactly can that kind of thinking exist when you're carrying a cross?

88% of Congress are Christian and 71% of Americans are Christian.

Maybe you should ask yourself why your news sources are leading you to believe otherwise.
