I want to be a good Christian with the mind of Christ. My problem is with the LGBTQ. I seriously get enraged when I hear about this crap being taught in schools to ELEMENTARY school children:
the different types of pronouns
the made-up genders
drag queens
kid drag queens
transgenderism

I become IRATE hearing about this garbage. About the fake science used to support it. About teaching little children to choose a gender, how people are "born in the wrong body" and assigned a gender at birth.
What makes me even angrier is the use of verses from the bible thrown at me saying I am mean, unChristlike, not like Jesus at all, I'm supposed to love them and accept them and not judge. That I am intolerant.
Didn't Jesus warn us not to corrupt the children? Because that is what this demonic curriculum is doing.
Nowadays, you get blocked for violating terms of service for telling a person who doesn't want to be gay what they can do to help themselves. Even saying the truth will get you in trouble.

So my question is: How can I get these people to turn to God and repent? Maybe I can't do it in person, but how should I be praying for them? Can you pray that God makes me better poised for this purpose?
It further makes me mad that God created a man and a woman and made a marriage for only them, and now people are in rebellion making up their own genders. Do they realize how stupid they sound? "I'm genderqueer non-binary." What? You're a man for crying out loud!

Yes I believe it makes God angry too. It is my opinion that the coronavirus is a way that God is attempting to get the attention of the world, for the very sins that you mention.

It is making them consider, are they willing to take their gay doctrines with them to the grave.

I too am a long time Christian and I recognize that LGBTQ people are a real and present reality. I also realize the horror that they face in the repulsion and the anger that they face from their fellow Christians from a reality that they have no hope of ever changing.

The description you give of your reaction sounds dangerous to me. What you can do about the acceptance of LGBT people is minimal, except through votes, etc. But letting it get you into the state you describe sounds spiritually dangerous. People who are angry at the level you're describing commonly respond in ways that make the situation worse. It also risks your own spiritual well-being.

It is *very* unlikely that someone who is irate will have any success at all in changing other people's attitudes. Rather, it will tend to reinforce the common impression among LGBTQ people that their opponents are irrational and even unChristian.

Why are you getting so upset? Are you, for example regularly reading sites like LifeSite? Remember that those sites are designed specifically to make people angry, in order to get them coming back to the site for more. They find every absurd action in the US, and also tend to exaggerate things. This keeps you riled up, making it less likely that you'll be able to see people you disagree with as possibly being Christians who (while possibly wrong) are doing their best to follow Christ.

You might want to start by trying to diagnose what is leading you into this situation and staying away from it. Prayer is certainly a good start.

When you get to the point where you deal sympathetically with people you disagree with, you can start looking at how to change attitudes.

Love the sinner and not the sin. You will get nowhere unless it is with love first.

Yes, that's one of the reasons that the Lord is judging the world right now.

I think it's best to keep in mind that we all fall short of the glory of God, we all sin. It isn't our place to judge, God will.
A saying my dad often used was "Except for the grace of God there go I" he said it for numerous things, but basically it meant be humble rather than gloating that this isn't a sin that you struggle with.
The sin of sodomy is not worse than the sin of adultery or fornication. I think often people who commit 'lesser sexual sins' (in their mind not in actuality) somehow think they are better. The man who walks by judging and throwing accusations at the gay couple, does he go home and watch inappropriate contentography while telling himself he is glad not to be like them? I call hypocrisy on that. Are we looking only at a splinter in our brothers' eye while blind to our own plank? Like the woman caught in adultery, Jesus gave those without sin a chance to throw a stone, they all left. Then he said "Go sin no more" he did not get angry. Jesus is our example of how to react.

All who sin sexually sin against themselves. Not against us.
1 Corinthians 6:18
Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.

Understanding the person they are sinning against is themselves may help dissipate your anger because it isn't like theft or murder, it's not against you. Like an addiction, I feel sorry for anyone who sins against themselves and there are many ways to do that not just sexually. People who cut themselves or can't stop eating or alcoholics are also sinning against themselves.

The main issue that I see with the sin of sodomy is that society now views this as not a sin. It was certainly viewed by the general population as a sin in the 1950s. I believe the LGBTQ worked hard at making it acceptable for years. I think it started when they managed to change the word from sodomite to gay. Gay was a normal word associated only with happiness but now the LGBTQ have taken it over. No one would use the term to say they were happy now which is a shame. They have now done the same with the whole transgender issue.

While we can share the gospel and scriptures we can't make anyone do anything, only God can. If a person is a Christian and sees nothing wrong in what they are doing I can only assume Satan is blinding their eyes to scripture on sexual sin.
The way I see it the only acceptable way for a homosexual person to live is to be celibate. I don't see being tempted as a sin for even Jesus was tempted, but giving in to the temptation is.

To those 'born in the wrong body' I believe this is a mental disorder.

I do think the corruption of children will be dealt with more harshly.
Matthew 18:6
"If anyone causes one of these little ones--those who believe in me--to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

The best we can do is keep our own children away from such teachings. Secular schools are secular and people need to be aware of that.

We need to each stand before God in the place of pastors & teachers that taught Christians not to pray for the world's welfare, and beg Him on behalf of them & their flock as well as outsiders.

Coffe4u, the concept of the principle is "chaste", especially: an inner quality.

We need to pray that ALL God's people will model that. It implies a more balanced mindset in all respects

Love the sinner and not the sin.

I couldn't find that in scripture. I've been looking all my life; as I've heard it all my life. I was a little startled when I read this:

(CLV) Ps 5:4
For You are not an El Whose delight is in wickedness; Evil may not sojourn with You.

(CLV) Ps 5:5
No boasters may set themselves up in front of Your eyes; You hate all contrivers of lawlessness

Imagine, Israel used to sing this song.

I agree.

I can't say whether or not prayer would work. I think that Satan may be at work. Nevertheless, I would try and I don't think there is any special way

All you need to do is read everything Jesus Christ of Nazareth did for sinners. He loved them. I suggest you start with the adulteress woman who Jesus loved rather than stone. He was sinless and had the right to do so under the law.
One day you will understand the power of love and why Christ preached it.
Be blessed.

I did that. it was a dead end.

Almost all modern critical translations that include the pericope adulterae do so at John 7:53–8:11. Exceptions include the New English Bible and Revised English Bible, which relocate the pericope after the end of the Gospel. Most others enclose the pericope in brackets, and/or add a footnote mentioning the absence of the passage in the oldest witnesses (e.g., NRSV, NJB, NIV, GNT, NASB).

Are you looking for "key words and phrasing"? Most always actions are louder than words.

It seems you don't understand. That's why I provided a link. The passage you referred me to is a forgery.

Of course, he loved them. He also rebuked. So how do you tell someone the truth or point them towards Jesus by doing it lovingly? Is that respectful conversation?
