Hi The first two are from photos I took driving thur Utah and they are watercolor on yupo. The view is of salt lake city (more residential side). We ended up hiking all the way to the top of that mountain. I included a detail. The last two were made up scenes. The tree is on primed paper (made for acrylics) and the wave is on 140 lb watercolor paper. View attachment 264982

I really like the road painting. Have you been doing these on location?
EDIT: looks like I caught you while you were still typing some details! Some apparently were done o location.

By the way, one of my daughters tried out the canvas pad at Hobby Lobby with acrylic in this case and really enjoyed it. Thanks for the review.

It works well for what she does, which is make cards. She can cut each sheet into several small paintings and then paste them on. It winds up being more affordable than the Strathmore cards (which we also like), and takes heavier washes.

I'm glad she liked the canvas. Isn't it a shock how thin it is. I bet you could put it in a home printer and make canvas prints. I just did these paintings past few days, obsessed with trying to get a grip on yupo. They were from photos i took last November on a trip to Nevada, Arizona and Utah. I'm having touble posting photos tonight. I"m getting error messages. I'm glad they showed up. Thanks again.

Yes, she said it was like painting on fabric. That is an interesting concept on the printing.

I like the blue shading, showing distance.
Yeah, it was hard to get the middle portion right. You have less saturation, but in this case darker shades. Hard to pull off. But the blue works pretty well to show haze and such.
