No one had a drink?

Ok, I had some fellas over and we sipped Teacher's Highland Cream and discussed issues at the local church level. We concluded that Theocast has pretty much nailed every single issue we see in our own congregation. This is good because once you identify the problems you can offer solutions.

Yours in the Lord,

Enjoying Gin from a local distillery while listening to Theocast. Aged in Oak barrels gives a nice hint of Vanilla. I'm not in perfect step with those brothers, but it's thought-provoking stuff.

Ah gin! A fav summer drink.

Theocast is ok, I listen to it from time to time. I guess their latest episode is about being 'Reformed' vs. 'Calvinist.'

Still smoking your pipe? Did you get the tobacco I sent you?

I do still smoke my pipe brother! I did receive that large bag of vanilla a while back, thank you. That same size bag in Canada would cost me $80 or $90 bucks! Insane how they tax us up here.

I know you had to reduce your smoking but are you still having a pipe now and then? I'm having one tonight with a buddy who is celebrating a birthday.

Yours in the Lord,

jm

I told my doctor yesterday that they are going to bury me with my pipe.

As long as you smoke in moderation, I don't see why not. I puff rarely now but I did rip through that vanilla you sent me! Awesome stuff.

I've got this sitting right in front of me. It's non-alcoholic, but I have to venture into the liquor section of the grocery store to get it, so I think it counts, somewhat.

Looks interesting. Mix that with some rum and make a Dark n Stormy.

I bought a new banjo and have been pickin like crazy!
I noticed that your avatar sometimes has banjo players, and I wondered if you were a player, yourself. Now, I know.

So, how many strings does yours have? Does it have a resonator, or is it open-backed?

I wanted to get one, but my wife talked me out of it. The guitar collection is running out of aesthetic storage space, and she thought I should focus on the instrument that I use in church. I've always admired the banjo, though. I got the finger and thumb picks for my guitar, and learned a banjo scruggs picking pattern.

Currently I have a Goodtime Banjo, open back and a cheaply made banger from the 70's, 5 string. Banjo is fun and if you've never played guitar before easy to learn. I just watched YouTube.

I miss this goat skin head, friction pegged, fretless banjo! Don't know why I sold it...or traded it, I don't recall.

Come on down here to my neck of the woods, where the banjo has been a major attraction for decades.

This weekend I'll be working on 1814 and sipping tequila.

What you got in ur mug?

The cheapest brand of coffee available at Wal-Mart.
