Perhaps if you were a little less cryptic we could all benefit from your knowledge on these subjects.

Ah yes. The “I ate today, therefore no one on the world is going hungry today” view of things. That’s not arrogantly self-centered at all. Meanwhile Australia has a crisis with their power grid being overloaded and watering holes drying up in the heat.

* Why Some Scientists Say Global Warming Is Out and Global Cooling is In
In a world riddled with climate-change doomsday predictions, a small but growing number of scientists are saying the highly touted climate models predicting steadily increasing global temperature due to humans’ carbon-dioxide emissions are wrong and that Earth could soon face something even more dire: global cooling.

One such climate scientist is Valentina Zharkova, an astrophysicist at Northumbria University. Zharkova and her team of researchers say that based on mathematical models of the Sun’s magnetic activity, it’s likely Earth will experience decreasing magnetic waves over a 33-year period beginning in 2021.

Zharkova is not alone. In 2017, researchers at the Physical Meteorological Observatory Davos, the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology, ETH Zurich, and the University of Bern published a model projecting a cooling period “in 50 to 100 years’ time.”

:) Always a fun thing to say.

At the moment while it's colder than usual here in the northern U.S., it is warmer than usual in Alaska. That always happens -- colder than normal somewhere, warmer than normal somewhere.

It's the overall longer term average that is alarming:

We have a more ultimate weather prediction I think here: Luke 21:25 There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among the nations, bewildered by the roaring of the sea and the surging of the waves.

It's not Global Warming any more - it has changed to Climate Change. This is so no matter the temperature, it's a Climate Change issue.

The name change from Global Warming to Climate Change was an attempt to better convey the actual impact of Global Warming. While the atmosphere is getting warmer the results of this go far beyond simple temperature increase. They include:
  • more intense floods and droughts associated with shifting weather patterns
  • more intense wildfires - a combination of higher temperatures, more intense winds and longer/drier warm seasons
  • seasonal shifts; longer summers, shorter winters
  • more intense storms and higher storm surges
  • shifts in crop growing zones due to seasonal shift, higher temperatures and changing weather patterns
  • higher humidity (warm air holds more water)
  • increased release of methane (a serious greenhouse gas) due to permafrost melt
  • increased ocean temperatures affecting currents and changing/shifting marine life habitat,
  • habitat shifts/changes for land based wildlife
  • destruction of coral reefs due to water temperature increase
  • sea level rise (warm water expands),
  • loss of glacial ice adding to sea level rise,
  • loss of polar ice allowing for even more heat to be absorbed into sea water
  • changes in mass air current movement affecting weather patterns
  • intense cold weather events caused by fluctuations in the Polar Vortex in turn caused by higher air temperatures. (This is more of a Northern Hemisphere issue)
'Climate Change' conveys a better sense of the broad range of changes brought about by Global Warming.

It's the winter, let's create a thread saying it's cold in the winter!

Despite the continued lie that climate change has not resulted in warmer winters, facts say otherwise:

How long will you continue to ignore the data because on a given day it's cold?

Winters are warming faster than summers. These US cities could lose weeks of freezing days by 2050.
Though the polar vortex is descending on the Midwest this week, white winters are overall beginning to turn mushy gray across the northern United States. And the longer we wait to get serious about limiting climate change, a White Christmas could become a thing of the past for many cities later this century.

As part of our Weather 2050 project, we examined how average winter low temperatures are projected to shift in the 1,000 largest US cities by 2050 if we do nothing to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Snow-starved West means ski towns face challenging winter
Over the past few weeks, much of the eastern United States has endured record-breaking cold temperatures and a blustery snowstorm called the “bomb cyclone.” But venture further west and you’ll find a different story: States like Colorado, Utah, and California are in the midst of a warm, dry winter that is affecting resort towns and worrying forecasters.

Colorado—one of the country’s most popular ski destinations, with about 13 million skier visits each year—has been especially hard hit. Overall, the state’s snowpack is only at about 50 percent of average, and towns like Telluride and Durango in southern Colorado are faring much worse than that. According to Telluride Ski Resort’s mountain report, the ski area has only received 26 inches of snow all season and as of January 8, only 16 percent of the mountain is open.

James Carville once said, "It's the economy, stupid," and that is something we see suffering more and more as climate change negatively affects industry.
