Is "but I say... the same thing as what precedes all those statements?

INDEED that changes the meaning of what was posted to you how? Jesus taught all the law and the prophets and expounded on them from the OLD TESTAMENT in the NEW TESTAMENT he did not come to abolish them but to fulfill them (Matthew 5:17-19). The MOSAIC BOOK of the law pointed to JESUS and were fulfilled in him (no more animal sacrifices after his death). While he obeyed God's LAW (10 Commandments) perfectly in order to be our perfect sacrifice for sin. Jesus taught LOVE is the fulfilling of God's LAW and on these two great commandments of LOVE hang all the law and the prophets *MATTHEW 22:36-40. However, even here Jesus is quoting the OLD TESTAMENT scriptures of Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18 of LOVE to GOD and LOVE to our neighbore and states ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANG ALL THE LAW and the prophets *MATTEW 22:36-40. It is clear JESUS is not referring to God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) being ABOLISHED as he teaches them from the inside out in MATTHEW 5:19-28. Perhaps you should re-read MATTHEW 5.

Hope this helps.

So if we're dead to sin, what purpose does the law have? Remember we don't sin because we're dead. Why does a dead person need the law?

Good question. It has the same role as it always has and that is to give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTOEUSNESS *ROMANS 3:4; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172 though if we have found God's forgiveness and are cleansed from our SIN (breaking God's LAW) through repentance and confession of sins *1 JOHN 1:9; PROVERBS 28:13, through faith and are born again to walk in God's Spirit *1 JOHN 3:3-10; GALATIANS 5:16, we are no longer CONDEMNED by the law and it's PENALTY for SIN *ROMANS 8:1-4 which is death because we have accepted the gift of GOD'S dear son *ROMANS 6:23.

Not for the Christian. We're dead to sin, remember?

All of God's WORD is for the Christian *MATTHEW 4:4. God's LAW (10 Commandments) gives us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN AND RIGHTEOUSNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172. If we are truly dead to sin we will not be breaking God's LAW. If we are then we are not dead to sin. This is the purpose of God's LAW to give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Correct. The husband has died and so did the law of the husband. This illustrates and intends for us to understand the law has no bearing on the Christian. Yes the husband died and so did his law. You quote and bold ye also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ.

You are confused. The husband represents the OLD MAN that is to die (sinful human nature) so that we might be married to Christ and not follow after SIN *ROMANS 6:6-7; ROMANS 7:1-3. We are dead to the law of sin and death that works in us (sinful human nature). *ROMANS 7:18-23.

ROMANS 7:4-5
[4], Wherefore, my brethren, ye also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ; that ye should be joined to another, even to him who was raised from the dead, that we might bring forth fruit unto God.NOTE: The reference back to...

ROMANS 6:1-6
[1], What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
[2], God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
[3], Know you not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
[4], Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
[5], For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
[6], Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that from now on we should not serve sin.
[7], For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Continuing with ROMANS 7:5 continues the thought from v4 that if we are not dead to sin and continue living in the flesh will bring forth the fruit unto death *ROMANS 6:23; ROMANS 8:13

So what do you mean? The verse says nothing about ceremonial law.

Read what you are quoting from. Where does what you are quoting from say anything about ceremonial laws. You ignored the post and scriptures again to state things the post and scriptures are not discussing. Seems to be a habbit with you.

Who are you talking about living in the flesh? Isn't it you that demands by quoting Scripture the body of flesh has to jump through hoops to attain and maintain salvation?

You do know that what you are quoting from in my post to you here is only God's WORD right. It is not my words by God's WORD. You have not addressed the post or the scriptures but are simply arguing with God not me in ROMANS 6:1-6.

Yes you still operate in the flesh requiring it to do certain things for salvation of the soul. Why don't you understand the body of flesh returns to dust from whence it came and isn't ever redeemed? Please don't say I don't take responsibility for the actions of my body.

I guess you do not have any scriptures to share so it is back to your words over God's WORD again. Not need to say any more here as you already know that we take responsibility for our own actions and it is these actions that we do in the body that we are all rewarded by God come judgment day REVELATION 22:11-12

So when are you going to quit requiring our flesh to function according to the law?

WALK in the SPIRIT and you will not fulfill the lusts of the FLESH *GALATIANS 5:16. For if you live after the flesh (SIN), you shall die *ROMANS 6:23, but if you through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live *ROMANS 8:13.

Look at LK 16:16 and Jn 1:17 and believe them as truth.

All God's WORD is truth. Your interpretation of it however is confused by cherry picking scriptures that lose their context as already show to you through God's WORD.

The scriptures do not teach God's Law is not in force. The scriptures do however teach the ceremonial laws of Moses are no longer binding because they pointed to Jesus and were nailed to the cross Col 2:14. This is where you are confused I think.

LUKE 16:16
The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presses into it.

Why? Because all the Law and the Prophets pointed to Jesus the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the World (JOHN 1:29). The Savior of mankind.

The CONTEXT you left out the confuses your interpretation of the scripture above are the next verses..

LUKE 16:17-18
And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail. <Jesus then goes on to talk about one of the 10 commandments in v18> 8, Whosoever puts away his wife, and marrieth another, commits adultery: and whosoever marries her that is put away from her husband commits adultery.

LUKE 16:16-18 is a summarised version of MATTHEW 5:17-32 where JESUS is teaching God's 10 commandments from the INSIDE OUT (thoughts and feelings). It is not saying God's LAW (10 Commandments) is ABOLISHED. JESUS is fulfilling the scripture of ISAIAH 42:21 to magnify the law and make it honourable. Not sure why you think JOHN 1:17 helps you.

I BELIEVE all of God's WORD. How about you? Can you see your errors here brother?

Hope this helps.

The covenant made with Israel has been set aside as Jeremiah promised and Jesus confirmed as current. The covenant Jeremiah said was set aside is - And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

You are confused let's take a deeper look at the scriptures showing why? If you do not know what the OLD COVENANT is how can you understand what the NEW COVENANT is that the OLD COVENANT points to? Your problem as shown through ther scriptures is that you do not know what the OLD COVENANT is. You mix up God's eternal law that give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD AND EVIL; SIN and RIGHTOEUSNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172 with the shadow laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the Covenant *EXODUS 24:7.

Here let's clarify what the OLD COVENANT is again one more time.

The OLD COVENANT was made up of God's 10 Commandments *DEUTERONOMY 4:13 and the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7. God's 10 Commandments were spoken *EXODUS 20:1-19 and written by GOD alone *EXODUS 32:16 and the book of the Covenant was written *DEUTERONOMY 31:24 and spoken by MOSES *EXODUS 24:4-7 alone (under God's guidence).

TOGETHER both God's eternal law (10 commadments) written on stone and the MOSAIC BOOK of the Covenant are the OLD COVENANT. They were both SEPARATED and housed in the ARK OF THE COVENANT. God's LAW was placed inside the ARK of the COVENANT *DEUTERONOMY 10:5 while the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT was placed in the side of the ARK of the COVENANT *DEUTERONOMY 31:26

DEUTERONOMY 10:5 [5] And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are, as the LORD commanded me.

Yep there is the 10 Commandments housed in the ARK of the COVENANT.

DEUTERONOMY 31:26 [26] Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against you.

EXODUS 24:7 [7] And he took the BOOK OF THE COVENANT, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD has said will we do, and be obedient.

So in summary here it is both the God's eternal law (10 Commandments) that give us the KNOWLEDGE of sin and the shadow laws from the MOSIAC BOOK of the Covenant that made up the OLD COVENANT.

The NEW COVENANT is not like the OLD COVENANT. We no longer do animal sacrifices and the shadow laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 that pointed to JESUS and God's plan of salvation in the NEW are fulfilled in Christ and his mimistration as our great sacrifice and high Priest who ministers on our behalf in the Heavenly Sanctuary made without hande.

You mix up the shadow laws from that MOSAIC book of the covenant *EXODUS 24:7 brother with God's eternal law that give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172 that show us we are all sinners and lead us to Christ that we might be forgiven by faith *GALATIANS 3:22-25 to be free from our sins to walk in his Spirit *GALATIANS 5:16.

SIN is the breaking of God's Commandments (James 2:9-11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4) Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

The NEW COVENANT is not the same as the OLD COVENANT *HEBREWS 8:10-12, we no longer need to follow the Shadow LAWS from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT that all pointed to JESUS and God's plan of salvation in the NEW COVENANT.

Back to HEBREWS 8. The NEW COVENANT is not like the OLD COVENANT brother all the Shadow laws from the MOAIC BOOK that pointed to JESUS and God's plan of salvation in the NEW COVENANT are fulfilled in the NEW. The OLD has passed away. No more animal sacrifices and sin offerings, new Prieshood with JESUS as our great sacrifice and Great high priest ministering on our behalf in the heavenly sanctuary made without hands.

God's LAW written on stone leads us to Christ that we might be forgiven by Faith and free to walk in his Spirit *GALATIANS 3:22-25; GALATIANS 5:16; ROMANS 8:1-4. Faith the works by LOVE fulfills the NEW COVENANT promise of HEBREWS 8:10-12 of God's LAW written on the heart through LOVE *ROMANS 13:8-10.

Yep the OLD COVENANT is not like the NEW *HEBREWS 8:8-9. No more shadow laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 pointing to JESUS and God's plan of salvation in the NEW COVENANT.

More scriptures on God's eternal law and the Shadow laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT being the OLD COVENANT?

THE OLD COVENANT

EXODUS 34 [28] And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the COVENANT, the TEN COMMANDMENTS.

and what you have left out ...

EXODUS 24 [7] And he took the BOOK OF THE COVENANT, and read in the hearing of the people: and they said, All that the LORD has said will we do, and be obedient.

DEUTERONOMY 31:26 [26] TAKE THIS BOOK OF THE LAW, and put it in the side of the ark of the COVENANT of the LORD your God, that it may be there FOR A WITNESS AGAINST THEE.

DEUTERONOMY 29:21 [21] And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, ACCORDING TO ALL THE CURSES OF THE COVENANT that are WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF THE LAW.

EXODUS 24:7 [7], And he took the BOOK OF THE COVENANT, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD has said will we do, and be obedient.

DEUTERONOMY 29 [21], And the LORD shall separate him to evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the COVENANT THAT ARE WRITTEN IN THIS BOOK OF THE LAW.

DEUTERONOMY 31:26 [26], Take this BOOK OF THE LAW, and put it in the SIDE OF THE ARK OF THE COVENANT of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against you.

2 KINGS 23:2 [2], And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and HE READ IN THEIR EARS ALL THE WORDS OF THE BOOK OF THE COVENANT which was found in the house of the LORD.

2 KINGS 23 [3], And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all their heart and all their soul, TO PERFORM THE WORDS OF THIS COVENANT THAT WERE WRITTEN IN THIS BOOK. And all the people stood to the covenant.

2 KINGS 23 [21], And the king commanded all the people, saying, KEEP THE PASSOVER OF THE LORD your God, AS IT IS WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF THIS COVENANT.

2 CHRONICLES 34:30 [30], And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the priests, and the Levites, and all the people, great and small: and HE READ IN THEIR EARS ALL THE WORDS OF THE BOOK OF THE COVENANT that was found in the house of the LORD.

2 CHRONICLES 34:32 [31] And the king stood in his place, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, TO PERFORM THE WORDS OF THE COVENANT WHICH ARE WRITTEN IN THE BOOK.

yep its not just the 10 Commandments...

...............

HEBREWS 9:1 [1] Then verily THE FIRST COVENANT HAD ALSO ORDINANCES of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. [9] Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;[10] WHICH STOOD ONLY IN MEATS AND DRINKS, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.[12] NEITHER BY THE BLOOD OF GOATS AND CALVES, BUT BY HIS OWN BLOOD he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

EPHESIANS 2:15 [15] HAVING ABOLISHED in his flesh the enmity, even the LAW OF COMMANDMENTS CONTAINED IN ORDINANCES; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;[16] And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby

EZEKIEL 46:14 [14] And thou shalt prepare a meat offering for it every morning, the sixth part of an ephah, and the third part of an hin of oil, to temper with the fine flour; a MEAT OFFERING continually by a perpetual ORDINANCE unto the LORD.

NUMBERS 19:2 [2] This is the ORDINANCE OF THE LAW which the Lord hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke:

HEBREWS 10:1 [1] For THE LAW HAVING A SHADOW of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with THOSE SACRIFICES WHICH THEY OFFERED YEAR BY YEAR continually make the comers thereunto perfect.[2] For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. [3] But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.[4] For IT IS NOT POSSIBLE THAT THE BLOOD OF BULLS AND OF GOATS SHOULD TAKE AWAY SINS.

What laws are written on the heart in the NEW COVENANT promise? It is not the MOSAIC laws for remission of sin...

JEREMIAH 31:31-34 [31], Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:[32], NOT ACCORDING TO THE COVENANT THAT I MADE WITH THEIR FATHERS in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt ; MY COVENANT WHICH THEY BROKE, although I was a husband unto them, says the LORD:[33], But THIS SHALL BE MY COVENANT THAT I SHALL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISREAL; After those days, says the LORD, I WILL PUT MY LAWS IN THEIR INWARD PARTS, AND I WILL WRITE IT IN THEIR HEARTS AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE; [34], And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, says the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

2 CORINTHIANS 3:2 [2], You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: [3], Since you are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, WRITTEN NOT WITH INK, BUT WITH THE SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD; NOT IN TABLES OF STONE, BUT IN THE FLESHLY TABLES OF THE HEART. (see all of 2 COR 3)

The NEW COVENANT promise of LOVE is God's LAW (10 Commandments) written on the heart to LOVE through faith (ROMANS 13:8-10)

……………………………

CONCLUSION; Jesus did not come to change or destroy GOD'S LAW (10 Commandments). It is through GOD's LAW that we have a KNOLWEDGE of what SIN is. The sabbath is still to be kept. He came to fulfil what was written of Him in the books of the law and to END the Mosaic law for remission of SIN and the penalty of SIN in those who BELIEVE

Yep it is the SHADOW laws that are fulfilled in Christ. The OLD COVENANT is made up of God's 10 Commandments and the Shadow laws in ORDINANCES from the MOSAIC BOOK OF THE COVENANT.

The NEW COVENANT is to God's ISRAEL who are all those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW GOD'S WORD *HEBREWS 8:10-12. If you are not a part of God's ISRAEL you have no part in the NEW COVENANT. Gentiles are now grafted in *ROMANS 11:13-27.

Sorry brother God's WORD disagrees with you and there is a lot of it. You have your shadow laws mixed up with God's eternal LAW that give us a KNOWLEDGE of what sin is if broken. * ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; JAMES 2:11; 1 JOHN 3:4

Hope this helps.

You know your screen must show something different from my screen. I think that anyone who can read can see what you're saying is false.

Not really my friend. Only God's WORD is true and we should believe and follow it *ROMANS 3:4. Your earlier posts in response to ROMANS 6-8 did not respond to the content and scriptures provided except to make claims in your own words not founded on the scriptures or to make claims and arguments (strawman) no one was talking about or claiming. You are still to respond to the posts and scriputures that disagreed with you. Except you have admitted your mistake that we are to die to sin now and not the law as posted earlier which is good.

Here are my words quoted from one of my posts - Those words appear between your comments as my original post shows. Just click on the icon after the colon for proof. The example I quoted above includes Scripture proving what I said.

Thank you for posting this in the previous post. It is a good example of a strawman argument that I was referring to above as it is making arguments and claims against the scriptures quoted that were never made.

You continue to refuse to respond to those passages claiming I didn't post them.

Who said that I refuse to respond to what you have written? I am only stating you have ignored the posts and scriptures that I have written and have not responded to them. You did not respond to the content and scriptures provided except to make claims in your own words not founded on the scriptures or to make claims and arguments (strawman) no one was talking about or claiming. You are still to respond to the posts and scriputures that disagreed with you. Except you have admitted your mistake that we are to die to sin now and not the law as posted earlier which is good.

This isn't my interpretation - But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

Your interpretation of a single scripture was shown in the other scriptures and CONTEXT you left out. This was shown in the context you leave out being v5 and the surrounding scriptures from ROMANS 6; ROMANS 7 and ROMANS 8. This being addressed in some detail 1. Here; 2. Here; 3 Here and 4 Here. Romans 7:6 is talking about being delievered from the CONDEMNATION and PENALTY of God's LAW *ROMANS 8:1-4, not something that is HOLY; JUST and GOOD that gives us the KNOWLEDGE of what sin is when broken *ROMANS 7:12; ROMANS 7:7; ROMANS 3:20. Can you see your error here brother? No where in God's WORD does it teach lawlessness as the propjets, JESUS and all the APOSTLES taught God's LAW (10 Commandments) all through the OLD and NEW TESTAMENT scriptures *More scripture support here click me. Sorry my friend God's WORD disagrees with you. Only God's WORD is true and we should believe and follow it *ROMANS 3:4.

neither is - The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

Let's examine your claims. All God's WORD is truth. If you are cheery picking out single scriptures out of context to support a belief of lawlessness you will find your interpretation of the scripture conflict with other scriptures in God's WORD. This should be a warning to you that your interpretation of the scriptures is faulty as God's WORD does not contradict itself.

Your interpretation of LUKE 16:16 is confused and a good example of cherry picking scriptures out of CONTEXT in order to provide a meaning it is not giving. Let's see why.

The scriptures do not teach God's Law is not in force. The scriptures do however teach that the ceremonial laws of Moses are no longer binding because they pointed to Jesus and were nailed to the cross Col 2:14. This is where you are confused I think.

LUKE 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presses into it.

IF your interpretation of the single scripture you use in LUKE 16:16 is correct and there is no more 10 Commandments after JOHN why is JESUS continuing to teach the 10 commandments after v16?

LUKE 16:16-18 is a summarised version of MATTHEW 5:17-32 where JESUS is teaching God's 10 commandments from the INSIDE OUT (thoughts and feelings). It is not saying God's LAW (10 Commandments) is ABOLISHED. JESUS is fulfilling the scripture of ISAIAH 42:21 to magnify the law and make it honourable. Not sure why you think JOHN 1:17 helps you.

I BELIEVE all of God's WORD. Can you see your errors here brother?

nor - For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. You're your not arguing from the Greek. English language rules don't follow Greek language rules. Translation conveys thought.

Not sure why you think JOHN 1:17 helps you. We are saved by grace through faith and not of ourselves it is a gift of God and not of works lest any man should boast *EPEHSIANS 2:8. Many however do not know why Grace has been given to us. Grace is given for OBEDIENCE to the FAITH *ROMANS 1:5 16:26 and as PAUL says Faith does not ABOLISH God's LAW it ESTABLISHES God's LAW in those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD *ROMANS 3:31. OBEDIENCE to God's LAW is the not how we are saved it is the FRUIT of God's work in us as we BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD. If our faith has no fruit it is dead *JAMES 2:18-20; 26 and our tree will be cast down and thrown into the fire *MATTHEW 3:10; 7:19-20; 13:49-50. We are saved by GRACE through faith and not of ourselves it is a gift of God *EPHESIANS 2:8. We are all sick with sin and need a Physician *MATTHEW 9:12-13. JESUS says arise take up your bed and walk. I believe him. How about you? All those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will not enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN *HEBREWS 10:26-27 because they reject the gift of God's dear son *ROMANS 6:23.

Hope this helps.

No. At best you claim to keep opposing covenants. My Bible says - Mat 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Since I understand you will disagree with actual words of the text, the truth is it doesn't matter what the two masters are.

Not really. The NEW COVENANT is not like the OLD COVENANT. Your confusion is what you think the OLD COVENANT is as shown in earlier posts and the scriptures in them. You do not know what the OLD COVENANT is and if you do not know what the OLD COVENANT is how can you understand what the NEW COVENANT is that the OLD COVENANT pointed to? Your error is that you mix up the SHADOW laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 with God's ETERNAL law (10 Commandments) that give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTOUESNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172. God's 4th commandment is one of the 10 commandments. God's WORD tells us that if we break any one of God's commandments we stand guilty before God of sin *JAMES 2:10-11. God's WORD says that all those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will not enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN *HEBREWS 10:26-27 because they reject the gift of God's dear son *ROMANS 6:23.

Once again I don't. I believe and practice the new covenant, while you claim to practice the old covenant. Really your claim is you practice both opposing covenants at the same time. That's impossible.

Once again your making false statements. WE are in the NEW COVENANT not the OLD. I have never claimed we are to practice the OLD COVENANT. If I have not said or claimed any such thing why do you try and pretend that I have? Once again your error here is that you mix up the SHADOW laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 with God's ETERNAL law (10 Commandments) that give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTOUESNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172. God's 4th commandment is one of God's ETERNAL LAWS (10 commandments) that give us the KNOWLEDGE of what sin is if knowingly broken.

Hope this helps

indeed - Jeremiah 31:31-33 reminds us of that LAW written on the heart under the NEW Covenant and proper exegesis reminds us ……..
Who needs proper exegesis of law written in the mind and placed on the heart??????

That's quite amusing-sadly

false accusations are cheap as we all know. And the practice has a long history

easily recognized from their sweeping generalities and factless nature.
For those who follow the new covenant:

So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. 5 For when we were in the realm of the flesh, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in us, so that we bore fruit for death. 6 But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.

It is sin we have to die to (breaking God's LAW) you are confused. Why would we die to something that is HOLY; JUST and GOOD *ROMANS 7:12 that gives us the KNOWLEDGE of what SIN is when broken *ROMANS 3:20. Then again all those that CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will be crying out for the rock to fall on them thinking they are delivered from the law instead of sin *REVELATATION 6:15-16. We can understand why when reading HEBREWS 10:26-31. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Sorry my friend. God's WORD does not teach lawlessness. Neither did JESUS or the Apostles *Click me

I just quoted the bible, so you must believe the bible is confused. Amazing!!!

Your post simply shows your lack of understanding the spiritual message of Paul

Nope you gave your interpretation of it trying to pick out a scripture out of Context to try and argue no more 10 commandments. You were provided scripture that disagrees with your interpretation. God's WORD does not contradict itself. The scriptures provided to you in response contradict your interpretation of God's WORD showing your error of interpretation.

Nope you gave your interpretation of it.
I wrote nothing and no interpretation of my own, I simply quoted the letter of what is written, I will repeat it for you here:

Yes you have. You have already stated your view that God's 10 commandments is abolished in previous conversations. Please explain the scriptures in the post that disagree with your interpretation and contradict your teachings? It is sin we have to die to (breaking God's LAW) you are confused. Why would we die to something that is HOLY; JUST and GOOD *ROMANS 7:12 that gives us the KNOWLEDGE of what SIN is when broken *ROMANS 3:20. Have you honestly no idea at all what Paul meant when he wrote:
So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ

No wonder I could not get an exegesis of rom7:4-6 when I asked for it

I am happy to discuss the scriptures with you as stated in the other thread. It was you who declined the discussion. Ok have to go reply to some posts in another thread. Have fun.

And so we see just how much obeying the ten commandments means to you
Bring forth one post of mine where I stated the above. I know you cannot, and I also know you will not apologise for bearing false witness against me. So much for your insistence the law must be obeyed
