I don't read the bible itself very much anymore either because of the huge library of theology books I've acquired lately and don't seem to have time to get thru either. But they constantly keep me referring to the bible. But having a chain reference bible is amazing too for getting the book to come alive.

Watch pastor Joel Osteen or John Gray popular people on Youtube that provide laughter and encouragement to stay with the lord. They also quote common biblical principles and share stories of salvation.

Hi, I understand how important it is to read scripture everyday but I am beginning to fear that I am growing tired of reading it. It feels kind of boring and repetitive and I really hate to feel that way about it.

Any advice?

:)
Advice; Yes;
First try studying.
I have been , since a pastor (Dan Baker) told me I would read it through in a year ...15 minutes a day...
I almost did (about a month later) then I had a stroke (or more) so I went to a half hour a day...and since I have be "retired" I do a couple hours a day.
I have read it through since the 70's ...many times; and every time I ask Jesus, (The Holy Spirit) to Give me something new, or open my eyes to something I might have missed... HE never fails.
Keep on keeping on, Brother.

There are great video movies on YT that are Scripture-only but grab the attention. These are The Book of Matthew, The book of John and The book of Acts.

Also, you can sing the Scriptures and learn it easily.
Here are some examples.
JumpStart3 has a strong and catchy beat:

Maranatha has, I think, a mellow and tender, loving sound:

Sing-along Scripture songs kind of sound hippie-like to me. The voice is very lovely, but all these groups have excellent voices.

Scripture Memory Songs are kind of old fashioned sounding, but they have lots of fans, like me.

1st. If you research the Primacy of the New Testament issue: Greek vs Aramaic and then test the Aramaic's quotation of the Hebrew Old Testament AND remember that YHWH commanded not to add nor to remove from His word, THEN you'll be devastated and thoroughly motivated to learn Hebrew, to read the OT in Hebrew and translate the Aramaic New Testament back into Hebrew for yourself; as a life long project. It takes more than a modern life span to fully appreciate Yah's Word.

2nd. Reading Scripture is Elementary School, Practicing Scripture is High School, Teaching Scripture is College & transforming your life from work for gain to a Gospel Charity is the career Goal.

Ask Holy Yahuah, our Father in Heaven, in the name of Yahushua Messiah and His Spirit will guide you to escape all of Satan'c counterfeits, to love Yahuah your El with all your Heart, all your Mind and all your Spirit.

A person should read the Bible all the way through. Once they've done that, they might read just a little each day. I read a little out of the book of Psalms each day.

This is good advice. I started out jumping around and being taught different things in different places. Then I made a New Year's resolution to read the Bible through in 1 year. By the number of pages I had, I think it came out to something like 2.5 pages per day. I found it interesting enough that I often read more. I was amazed to see how things I knew about before fit in with the things I didn't know due to not spending any real time in the Old Testament. I took notes all along the way because I was afraid I'd eventually start forgetting the new things I was learning. I ended up finishing the Bible in the middle of September of that year.

However, after that, I actually started reading it less because it wasn't so new anymore, so I can understand how it can be hard to read everyday.

Hi there. First I want to say that I think its really great that you are concerned about this. This means that God is stirring within you. I want to do a little experiment with you for a second lets make a list of things we might find fun to do. For example my list would have horse back riding, biking, swimming at the beach, riding a roller coaster etc... Now imagine some Nazi looking fella standing over you cracking a whip every morning demanding that you do your daily horse ride, beach swim, biking, and roller coaster riding. And if you missed a day he brow beats you and tells you how worthless of a person you are. A guy like that would take the fun right out of it. Churches today have managed to turn the joy of reading God's word into some kind of grueling daily chore, to the point that I agree, under those circumstances it's really boring. When I get a text from my wife I'm excited to read it and see what she has to say to me. But if someone turned it into some sort of religious ceremony then even that would be boring.

God's word is His love letter to you. It's alive and living. I recall before I was a Christian trying to read the Bible and it made no sense at all to me. But when I became a Christian I sat down and started reading the gospels and got sucked into it like I was there with Jesus and the apostles. I could hear the seagulls in the background as Jesus taught the crowds from the boat. It came alive! But there are two things in the 28 years of my salvation that I have intentionally never done. First was I intentionally never memorized the books of the Bible in order. I met someone when I was a new Christian that was so proud that he could quote all the books of the Bible, but he couldn't lead a sinner to Christ to save his life. The second thing I intentionally never did was let reading my Lord's love letter to me become some sort of grueling daily chore. I will sometimes go for days or even weeks without ever opening my Bible. And then I will get into an exciting study on some topic and be studying from morning until deep into the night on other days. The fastest way to become bored with something that ought to be fun is make it a chore.

Finally there is something else that can happen I should warn you about. I can't think of a delicate way of saying this but... you can get spiritually constipated. Meaning that if you just store up all this information and never go out and share it with the lost around you then the Christian life in general gets dull. If all you do is go to church and read your Bible and pray, you will get stopped up. Jesus wants us to share this good news. I've found that the word stays fresh and exciting when I go out to a bus stop or street corner and just start sharing the good news to those passing by. This life in Jesus is exciting!!!
